You don't want this, buy the DVD instead. Its cheaper and you can actually see something in it. Or look at your TV when its turned off and pretend its the blu version of NOLD 90 because its so dark.

^lol ya. I've heard nagysaudio call They Live and NOTLD 90 the worst blu-ray ever made numerous times. I wish he would make up his mind.

That is how I have always viewed the reaction to NOTLD90 on Blu-ray. Many fans were upset at paying over $30 for it in the first place, and the altered color timing gave them a reason to whine long and loud.

Well, referring to "clip" certainly means video before it means screenshot, and I wasn't aware (but could be mistaken) that there aws a notld90 tt video clip anywhere other than youtube. Is there on on vimeo for instance? Does it really matter?

wow just wow... that is hardly what i would call blue by any strech of the imagination. all the pictures look the same to me. the review i read made it sound like things were blue in a way that wasnt natural.

Your interpretation certainly could be correct but as of right now people are assuming "clip" means YouTube in this case. We don't know if Prinzi meant YouTube or someone else all together.

after giving the pics a 2nd look im offically changing my opinion. they are way messed up. how i didnt see that they are very blue is beyond me. i didnt realize they wre side by side comparisions of the same image. that stuff makes daytime scenes look like night scenes. why would they do that?

I hold TT accountable as they sold this, then did damage control which has now turned out to be partially untrue. Personally if I was in their business, I'd want to watch the transfer before I licensed it, let alone put it on discs for sale. There's a proper transfer out there, TT didn't get that one.

Better that NOTLD 90 never was released on the bluray format.

1. They can't put a replacement program into effect without the cooperation of Sony, who doesn't admit that there's anything wrong. Won't. Happen.

2. The "damage control" you speak of...it's the "transfer created in consultation with DP" claim? The claim that, while certainly misleading in light of new information, remains essentially true? The claim that originated, again, with Sony?

3. If this blu-ray were the universally regarded as a trainwreck, your last statement might be true; in the opinion of some folk, it's not, so it isn't.

I do think the next time it gets released on home video, Sony will revert back to the original color timing. For people unaware of how the process works, Sony retains the 2010 film scan in digital form, both before and after the color correction changes.

Somewhere in Sony's digital vault lies the new NOTLD90 transfer without the color correction. It would be a simple matter to release that scan with little additional work. Remember, the soonest we could see it from Sony is October, 2015.
