Hopefully this will get the same treatment. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, I hear ya. For me, it's one of those things that would be really nice to have but wouldn't kill me if I missed out. Having said that, if the PQ/AQ is really good, then I would spend the money ($30) on it. I figure I have a 4-5 day window to wait for a review.... I'll risk it if it sells out the first day.

edit - I hear Fright Night had a really good transfer with a lot of care put into it. If that happens again with NOTLD then that would go a long way.

If you're worried about the PQ, the reviews for TT stuff generally go up a couple of days before the release date. I'm going to buck the trend and say that you'll probably be safe if you want to wait till then to order.
no mention of a magnet like with fright night???

I don't think Night of the Living Dead is going to sell out near as quickly as Fright Night (if at all.) You should be able to buy it whenever you want, like As Good As It Gets or any other Twilight Time previous blu-ray releases. Night of the Living Dead is a pretty good remake, but it's not worth paying $34.00 for it... To me at least! I'm content with the DVD for now. And besides, I haven't watched the DVD in years, so why would I pay $34.00 for the blu-ray!

At least most of the Twilight Time limited edition bd's like Night of the Living Dead (1990), Enemy Mine, and Fright Night have a digital HD version for sale on amazon for $10 each, so all three digital HD versions cost less than one TT disc. Not a bad alternative if you don't want to pay the premium for the TT disc. Of course, the disc will be better quality.

As much as I'd love to own this, $35 = 2 Scream Factory releases.

Gonna have to pass, there's just too much stuff coming out that I need to save my money for.

+1

I think Sony underestimated Fright Night BIG TIME.

Well, I for one will be preordering the BluRay. The last version I bought of this title was the VHS from Tower Records and Video back in the early 90's. It still has the original plastic around the slipcase with the price sticker on it, $9.99! That's a lot of cash for a high school kid. Anyway, this is a long time coming for me since I passed of the DVD. Can't wait!

If you go back and re-read the Fright Night thread, many of these points (about it not being popular enough to sell out, too expensive, etc.) were being made about that movie too before it disappeared.

I'd guess that NOTLD will be their 3rd sell-out and will be gone by November.

Is Fright Night the fastest title to go OOP? Or is it Journey? I have a feeling Night will be next. Never underestimate horror fans.

FN sold out within about 2 weeks of the release. Journey and Mysterious island were a bit longer.

It might not make it to Amazon. It could be sold out before then.

Screen Archives ships internationally. You can order direct from there.
