Well the plot thickens.. Although the Vintage Stock employees here (Overland Park Kansas) are usually on top of things like that. If he switched a sticker he must have gotten it past someone that wasn't paying attention.

Maybe it's like the pawn shops around me, every disc is $8 no matter what it is (why I rarely find rare stuff there), and they probably pay $2 no matter what it is. Is this store known to price according to what amazon and ebay are doing/showing, or are most BD's $7.99 or right around that? What would be most funny (except for the store) is if someone else swapped stickers, lost their nerve and didn't take it to the counter, then you found it with wrong sticker but had price honored or just missed. 90% of used places but BD and dvd under the same "dvd" banner for tracking product, so that tag saying dvd means nothing really. |

You're all forgetting the most obvious thing. The UPC on the sticker is 00851789003320U. The UPC on the disc, per this very website, is 0851789003320. Unless k_huntington printed the sticker himself and attached it in the store, I think you can all rest easy that he didn't come to this thread to spread lies about finding a bargain. Now my question...who's the bigger dork? The person who called him out, or me for actually looking it up??

I watched this awhile back after reading those comments about it.
It seemed to be from a clearly "inferior" source to the blu-ray. Since it had the same color timings as the DVD, it might have actually been the DVD (or the DVD master, or whatever). That being said, it was much more watchable than the blu-ray. I tried to watch the blu-ray immediately after the Netflix stream, and was immediately annoyed by the blue tint and overall darkness. |

Well crap! I didn't even know this was released until a few days ago!
hopefully sometime down the road someone else will reissue it. It is one of the few horror remakes I actually enjoy. Now where's a Blu-ray of the movie "Popcorn"? ![]() (what can I say I love these cheesy 80's/90's horror flicks) |

Buy a HD version from Amazon, itunes or whatever. From what I've heard they are quite good quality and have the original daytime color scheme instead of it being night all the time like in the TT BR.

If you didn't want it so badly that you were fine paying the $35 or so from Twilight Time initially... my vote (and the position I took) was to just wait for it to be released inevitably by someone else for a lower price.
