Simon Sherry is an artist (and a bloody talented one at that) employed by Umbrella Entertainment and has no personal stake in how the Australian Gubbermint forces ratings logos the size of small elephants on to the front of all home entertainment release product.

Nobody is "forcing" YOU to purchase it, so bloody well don't!

They can't be the same, because the Australian disc is MPEG-2.

Personally, I've never liked DVDcompare as an accurate source for specs, other than for comparing special features.

They have the Australian disc down as having an AVC encode, which says too me that whoever provided the info for that site has said that they are identical, and that is what their entry is saying. It might be worded wrong, but I do believe they are implying that it's sourced from the same master as the Optimum release.

I love me some NOTLD '90 (saw it in the theater way back when, even though I was underage) and avoided the TT version because of the blue tint issue. Can't wait...
