I do have a color corrected version of the TT disc. I just thought I'd throw up this cap for comparison to the Umbrella disc seen here: http://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go=1&a...=74909&i=0&l=1

I think it looks better than the Umbrella transfer. Click it for the 1920 x 1080 version.

Sorry. Now it just looks like there's a solar eclipse going on.

Look at the white material in the coffin. The Umbrella release is so much more detailed.

And the lighting in that colour corrected one is still way off..

Check these out: TT and AU: http://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go=1&a...=74921&i=0&l=1 vs. the color corrected TT: http://postimg.org/image/w6hcy0kat/full/

Umbrella for the win. No matter how much "color correction" goes into the TT master, it can't be fixed. There is so much black crush that even if the blue filter is successfully "removed", the rest of the image will look good but the dark areas will just be black patches. There also appears to be a contrast issue like it was boosted before the filter was added and because of the filter many color nuances have been erased.

Also look at the bad black crush on the front of the hearse and on parts of the coffin/trees.

I would probably give it a 6.5/10.

Yes, it's a bootleg.

But this release is a legit Australian release which is region free.

Nope, still a bootleg. Made by Team Blu over at the originaltrilogy forum. It's a color corrected/regraded version of the master used for the Twilight Time disc, as well as the HDX version of the movie that's on Vudu with the original color timing (an older master, likely used for the new Umbrella Aus disc). There's some really cool extras on there, including the original workprint of the movie, as well as a few different audio options including the original theatrical mix. It originally came with a custom slipcover

Watching the doc 'Reflection on the Living Dead' on disc two. Never seen it. It's amateur, but interesting. Thankfully, my Oppo plays PAL, without any help..

My Limited Edition says no. 90 of 2300.
Didn't they make actually 5000 copies?

It was originally advertised as 2000 copies but it seems they bumped it up to 2300.

I have a copy of that and love it. I think they killed it with the color-correction (cc from here) and it was so nice to see after the whole TT debacle. It also has the original "brighter" vudu version, I only looked at a couple scenes on that before deciding I liked the CC better. I wouldn't pay $50 for it, esp. with the Australian disc now existing, but it's beautiful for a custom. I say custom in knowing the team that put this together doesn't sell them (I asked over and over on a few sites before working out a trade), someone else is selling their work. It can be found on some torrent sites as well if you have a burner, can't recall which though.

I wonder if the extra 300 are to account for any damaged copies and/or review copies? Normally these aren't counted as part of a print run, but perhaps that was a screw-up. I mean, if they were going to just up it, why not a choose normal tier amount like 2,500? Perhaps the rep from Umbrella could shed some light on this.

It seems like I'm the only one who hasn't received it yet. It's over the 14-16 day "mention" I made earlier in this thread. Perhaps I should have just kept my mouth shut?!

I finally decided to order one of these up, just the 1990 movie as I am more than happy with the Japanese release of the original. I'll watch the TT version when I'm feeling blue and the Umbrella release when i'm not.
