Screen Archives only began offering the ultra limited (to 100) editions of Fright Night signed by the Director (Tom Holland) that you could get for free if you ordered a certain amount (100 bucks) only 3 days after the official release date (which was weeks after the pre order date.) Those who would've qualified for the free signed copy had they waited were told they did not qualify for it unless they ordered after the offer was made available.... I was one of those people. That signed copy is worth about 50 or 60 bucks more than the standard one now. I ended up ordering an additional 100 bucks worth of stuff after that offer was made and got a free copy signed by Holland. I could sell that copy now and cover the price of the 3 additional titles (Egyptian, Picnic, Mysterious Island) I oredered to qualify and the original copy of the standard Fright Night that I pre ordered.... and have some left over. I think I"ll be all right. I just want the movie because I love watching it and I don't mind not having an autograph, but if or when they offer it, that'll be awesome for the folk who get it! |

That's probably not the best idea, considering the kind of "pen" they have to use for signings. They can't use standard Sharpie ink because the disc art (and cover art) is typically so dark that they end up having to use those markers that use a material closer to white out or paint than actual ink (it was bright silver for Fright Night.) That stuff can be worn or flecked off pretty easily if it's disturbed.... and BD players spin discs extremely fast as they play back. If it were signed you wouldn't be able to watch it without risking wearing away the signature.
