The disc is region free but the extras are 50Hz so unless you have a player that can convert them to 60Hz or a player that will pass and a television that will accept 50Hz content you won't be able to watch them.

Looks like the player I normally use, the Playstation 4 is compatible and will convert the special features.

The extras are not 50Hz on the 1990 disc, only on the 1968 disc.

why are supplements encoded like this? a lot of Studio Canal releases do this and it irks me that I can't access / view them. |

I ordered a copy from Deep Discount via Amazon, on Tuesday and got it yesterday. It says region B, but it's region free. It looks pretty good, not great. Lot of scratches and specks every now and then. Still glad to have it as I missed out on the TT version.

I'm an original TT purchaser of this movie, and the disappointment I felt for that release had kept me from bothering to look in this thread until now. So hearing about this Umbrella release has me all sorts of excited. But I'm trying to scrub through all these posts about what's the best webstore to buy import it from, and I'm getting lost.
I see three stores: There's JB Hi-Fi There's ezydvd There's Umbrella Ent. I live in the States, in Northern California, and I'm ready to buy a copy asap. Based on past experiences, who's not going to lose the package and will get it to me relatively damage free in quick fashion? Thanks! |

I too purchased from JB, and mine arrived here in Northern California in a little over a couple weeks.
