It only looks terrible because almost all detail is lost under the tint. Without the tint it's a beauty and looks better than the Vudu and Umbrella. There is a very nice transfer lost under all that blue, believe.

That's fine. Adjust the tint on your TV. Enjoy it.

Actually no there isn't, and it's far worse than just a tint that can be removed. As I posted here a lot of the detail has been obliterated.

Most ridiculous statement ever. The TT release is a disgrace.

Still the "MOST RIDICULOUS STATEMENT EVER"?

I would ask for an apology, but given your quick to insult and attack post, I guess that would be a lost cause.

Have you seen vidjunkie's version?

The links in your argument are to the tinted TT, which does look like straight up smurf shit. The (fan) corrected TT transfer brings all that detail back, as well as more picture info on all 4 sides. I'm sure it's not as simple as adjusting your setting either.

I don't really care as I have my disc that looks great to me (and has tons more extras), but the good side of me hopes Sony gets it right for the rest of y'all. I'm done buying this title unless a mind-blowing 4K comes along down the road.

It cannot be from the TT disc then. You can't magic more picture area from a Blu-ray.

He/they told me it was from that. The framing is identical to the TT with the extra picture all around, I don't know where else it would've come from.

This same crew made Star Wars OT using those old non-anamorphic dvds as a base, yet somehow they came out HD. I don't know how they do it, they just do magical things.

I'd suggest everyone refrain from further discussion of the fan version.

I am genuinely curious what the hold up is on getting this listed on retailer websites. Without a listing it makes a person wonder if it is going to even have a legitimate release on the 23rd or at all. Similarly, I'm curious why Evil Dead doesn't have a pre-order price listing as well. I haven't purchased any of Sony's other MOD titles so perhaps this is normal, but with both supposedly releasing in only 20 days it seems strange that one has no price and the other doesn't even appear to exist.
