I'm not concerned at all. It's what Sony would have released if they did it themselves, and Sony does a great job with their catalog.

I'm going to wait and place my order after they drop below 1,000.

It might sound stupid, but I guess that's just my way of justifying the purchase. I really want the movie, but $34 is too much.

Well I decided to pre-order a copy afterall, since the commentary was included. Will keep the DVD copy to put it in with the Blu-Ray in a 2-disc case for the Documentary on it. Just couldn't let this movie pass me by on Blu-Ray. Not my favorite movie, but I do love it,and like it more than the original, which I will always like and respect for what it did for Romero and Zombie movies, and gave me 1 of my favorite movies of all time the original 1978 Dawn of the Dead. But happy to have a copy of this coming in. How fast do they ship these out? I didn't get UPS,just regular shipping, will I have it before Halloween in time for my Horror Movie marathon?

I was thinking of justification in regards to the limited quantity, not the price.

For the Fright Night movie, considering that I live in Canada, the shipping took 2 weeks around Christmas time:

Ordered: Nov. 14, 2011
Shipped: Dec. 6, 2011
Official Release Date: Dec. 13, 2011
Received in Canada: Dec 22, 2011

I've used regular shipping every time and I don't think I've ever gotten any TT title later than the published release date. You should have it prior to 10/9, well in advance of Halloween.

I'm not understanding your logic. We all know (as well as anyone can know) that this thing is going to sell out. It already has a limited quantity. There's no way these things are still in stock beyond October. Why not just order it now, rather than waiting a few weeks for it to sell a bit more? What's the difference?

Probably to use the $35 dollars elsewhere until the last possible moment. September 25 is right around the corner...

I'm on the fence with this title. Decent flick but I'm not crazy about TT using the limited edition model that is used with soundtrack CD's. I'm fine when it comes to soundtracks because of the very limited appeal. But this $35 buck thing for an almost bare bones Blu-Ray. I'm sorry...they have to do better. I was going to get Mysterious Island but that thing was $40 bucks! Laserdisc days all over again. I just could not pull the trigger. Such a mixed reaction with this company. Would these titles see the light of day if TT didn't release them? I do have to give them kudos for releasing some rare stuff. I bet they never sell out of say Rapture in three years time and I'm sure they know it. Some titles seem to be a labor of love. Others, like Night of the Living Dead are bread and butter. I'm not sure if I admire TT or resent them.

Pre ordered this! However I'm still upset Sony refuses to release their catalog titles. Sony made blu ray and they act like they could care less about it. Boo to you Sony.

Since everyone else is posting...

I just saved $35 by not buying this... and instead will buy Halloween III from Shout + Ed Wood and with the remaining $2.02 will buy a couple of burgers to eat while watching the movies!
