No way. I only deal in quality stuff; trash is unwelcome here.

That would be Lemmy. Lugosi's still pissed that he didn't get more than one copy of Fright Night.

This. The thing that really upsets me about people buying multiple copies of anything, especially an exclusive, is because there will will probably be plenty of people who will check in too late and realize they've missed out... but may not have as long as the scalpers didn't go hog wild. I mean, let's look at the post below for a perfect example of why this kind of thing blows:

Wow! I guess buying extra worked great for you!

Here are two copies, just sitting around with someone who has ZERO desire/need to open or watch them... and unless somebody visits THAT particular post on THIS forum, those two copies could just be lost in the ether. Those are two people who could and would have purchased this off of the Screen Archives website, but can't because somebody bought extra and never got to unload them.

Personally, I hope that guy never sells those two copies just so he has to eat the cost.

That may solve the problem, especially if they limit one copy PER HOUSEHOLD, but Christmas IS coming and I think people should be able to buy 2 or 3 copies if they want, as long as they're meant as gifts or something, you know? But that leaves the door open for dishonest people who really don't care about the film, but just want to make a quick buck instead.

There IS a line, and if you want proof of that, well, you live in the United States don't you? We see that line crossed all the time. If you want a breakdown, then pick up an Economics textbook, and then a History one right after that, and then compare notes.

ahhh, so that line is drawn when you think others should be "nice". sorry capitalism isn't "nice". it's cutthroat.

someone could buy all 3000 copies if they wanted to re-sell. as long as TT doesn't expressly forbid it then it's not dishonest. it's not nice, but still not dishonest.

Listen up, people. If you have to have this movie on Blu-ray at its listed price, you better pre-order in the next couple of days. There are no excuses, this release will sell out and anyone waiting around has no one to blame but themselves if they miss out.

I can't make it anymore simple than that guidance. This is not rocket science, there will be no more than 3000 units.

That might be true, but it hardly applies to a $30 blu ray that the guy you chastised above clearly isn't sweating getting the 70 or so dollars back that you want to see him "eat."

FN is now a $150.00 blu on eBay, easy (one sold 3 weeks ago for $240.00). It's weird but it's an outlier and going to be the exception rather than the rule. But lighten up already.

Funny how so many crooks and politicians justify things the way you do.

Lol, something like that. This thread is already Fright Night Redux and the trend will continue. The, 3,000 unit limited edition business concept is strictly aimed at hardcore collectors and it brings all of the issues we see...specially on popular titles. It is what it is.

This is like that conversation in the other thread, where people were trying to say it was completely 'honest' to go to Best Buy, cancel their pre-order and keep the pre-order case, all because a Best Buy employee tells them to keep it.

If living the the gray area helps you sleep better at night, so be it.

As far me, I've purchased one copy and I will enjoy it.

ummm NOOOOO , not even in the same LEAGUE. you can buy as MUCH OF AN ITEM AS YOU WANT... and do then resell as MUCH AS YOU WANT. that is STRICTLY the RIGHT of first sale. if they don't impose a limitation you can buy as many twinkies as you want, as many bottles of soda, as many baby teeshirts as your wallet can afford and the same for movies . As long as the retailer doesn't have a limit you are FINE ... doesn't matter if people don't follow your "rules of being nice", they are doing what's legal and that's really all that matters.

Yeah. Thanks.

By they way, do they offer free shipping in US if it reaches a certain amount?
