I think people are blowing this way out of proportion. Sleazy and Repugnant? Puh-leaze!

I recently bought a first edition first pressing hardcover book because it's one of my favorite books ever... I paid $50 for it on eBay. The Dust Jacket says it retailed for $25 when it was first released. Is the seller morally repellent for charging me double? Hardly! Its not something that you can go to the store and buy so obviously the prices are going to go up.

How about people that bought a car for $5k in 1962 and are reselling it for $20k+?

It's happens every day. That's how our economy works. Live with it?

The overreaction to this situation is laughable. If you don't want to take advantage of the situation in place because you couldn't live with yourself if you did, then don't! Don't try to demonized people who are though. That's just ridiculous.

You were fully aware, and had the opportunity to buy Fright Night for $29.99, but you've decided to purchased it on Ebay, after the blu-ray was sold out? This is a bought lesson! Well I hope you won't change your mind again, and pay quadruple for Night of the Living Dead on Ebay, after it sell out at SAE.

bravo, one of the better posts. as I said earlier we have a lot of people who are stuck on this "fairness" mantra. as if our entire existence is to make sure no one gets offended, has to buy something for more than cost, etc. etc..

+ as TT confirmed it's not like people are scalping by buying hundreds of copies to resell, rather we're getting a couple of people adding an extra copy or two to their order offset their own costs for the most part. really,.... perspective

See, I happen to think humans have the capacity to aim a little higher than that, particularly in this specific context.

Oh please let's not bring Darwin into this.

Gouge all the NOTLD fans you want.

But this has nothing to do with Darwin's freaking theory of ANYTHING.

I shared my thoughts on this a couple of days ago, but let's move on. In the end I do know the pitfalls, I care about the format enough to stay informed, and I did pre-order this as soon as was possible as a result. Due to all the discussion in here, people like wormraper have actually made me come around. I admit when I am wrong, and I was wrong throwing those buying multiple copies under the bus.

If you want it, just pre-order it now.

Let's talk about the film!

that's probably the sanest course of action ... on TOPIC... I actually really stoked about seeing this film. I don't think I've seen it in over 10 years after my buddies DVD got lost. looking forward to it.

Same here! The last time I watched this was a year ago on DVD for my 31 Days of Halloween Horror film stretch. Before then it was at a Midnight Drive-In screening which was AWESOME. I can't wait to see the improvement in PQ and AQ over the DVD, which to my recollection was pretty poor.

life isn't fair. it's that simple,

Really, think about it logically and not emotionally. I think that is the real problem... most people complaining have missed out on something and had to pay high prices for it so they don't like it.

I just had a funny thought. Imagine if the goverment stepped in and said "all right TT, you have to offer this BD to EVERYONE who wants it, even those who can't pay!" Can you imagine? LOL! Hey, it happened with the housing market...

Sales have slowed down to the point where updates aren't really necessary, at least until the cart hits 500 or so. I still think it'll take another 10-12 days to sell out.
