Trust me, they take them. It is accepted everywhere Visa is, and also, I used a Vanilla Visa to order from SA before and with no problems.

No problem at all. Just be sure to register the card on the Visa Vanilla Gift Card site before ordering online.

It is possible buying this title for resale and equating it to Fright Night might not work out the same.

With the increased awareness comes more people trying to duplicate a previous event in addition to more people interested in the title buying it themselves direct this time. There will probably be a decent amount more copies purchased specifically to try and resell for profit. The greater amount of competition and amount of titles available will help drive the average sell price down and/or take longer to reach the point of similar profits to the ones mentioned Fright Night sells at.

Not that one won't be able to resell it. Just that anyone expecting $100 (before fees and shipping which is what.. 15%?) right away might find it sell closer to the $60-$80 range. Take the risk of some buyer claiming it didn't arrive and Amazon/ebay automatically siding with them short of having signature confirmation or claiming damage and be uninsured.

How many people like any film to pay that kind of money to watch it, even if they have that kind of disposable income, over just buying the DVD, streaming, etc.?

On the flip side, I am one that found copies of Criterion' The Third Man and The Man Who Fell to Earth retail after they went OOP but decided against buying them for resale.

I'm tempted to buy a copy for resale myself as I wouldn't mind putting any respectable profit towards a TT release I otherwise wouldn't want enough to pay $35 for.

Right but that isn't a good way sway people buying it for profit. Making 70 to 80 dollars on something you paid 35 bucks on isn't bad business wise.

The last time I spent 30 dollars on an actual film on Blu-ray was when I bought The Town for $29.99 at Target. 2 weeks later its $14.99 at Best Buy. I know NOTLD will never be lowered in price on Blu.

950 copies left. Just put my order in along with Enemy Mine. I guess this might sell out within the next 3/4 days. A lot of people on the fence will probably jump on it now it's under 1000.

All online stores take Visa gift cards, but usually you have to register the cards in your name/address. I've used the Gift2Go cards (available at Walgreens) several times on many different websites with no problems.

Semi reliable way is to attempt to order a large number. Also for the first time Twilight time made some posts on Blu-ray.com and mentioned the total sold so far.

Anything limited will always demand a high price. There's always going to be people who collect things, no matter how rare.
