Limited means nothing if nobody wants it. There are NO absolutes in the collectible world... Collectors are a very fickle lot... and in MOST cases the surest way to ensure something doesn't have any long-term value? Label it as "limited edition"... |

Twilight Time shouldn't allow pre-orders. They should only sell from release date on. I think that might even out the playing field. Think about it most people don't realize it right away and then by the time it's released it's gone. This way a review can go out and people can see if it really is worth the money. However, as long as TT sells their run I'm sure they don't care. They could also limit to like 3 copies per customer. Just some ideas.

Yeah they may have to wait a couple months until the initial sellers get rid of their stock at a lower price.

If Twilight Time/SAE truly cared about evening out the playing field, then they'd limit orders to a max of 2 or 3 per account from the start, and not when quantities get low. I doubt anyone who's buying them for non-scalping reasons needs more than 3 copies, and even most of those who are scalping should be satisfied enough with 3. |

A similar thing happened with Journey. After SAE sold-out, they were only reselling for about 45-60 (The magnet added $10, believe it or not) But every copy that sells means one less on ebay, so eventually the average price started to rise as fewer copies were being listed. Now the cheapest one is $75, followed by $90 (At least for those who ship worldwide) And trust me, they do sell at those prices. NOTLD will be no different. Although it will be amusing to see how low some of the auctions end at when the initial flood of copies get listed. |

Since it is a limited edition, I highly doubt they send out screeners. You'd still have to wait for the reviewer to receive their copy and post a review, which would take a few days.
