Thank you Yappa for joining Blu-ray.com! I love this site, it's honest, civil and always helpful to all members. Proud to have you on-board and hope you will be active here.
I have confirmed 3 HDMI inputs for the E6, C6 and B6 along with all of the other attributes I stated above. Hope you can make the trip to NYC June 22-23 to participate in our 2016 TV Shootout. This is by far the most important TV Shootout in the 13 consecutive years since I created the evaluation event. The new TV System of HDR, WCG, PQ and all on true 10-bit panels makes the evaluation of how each flagship 2016 TV handles the elements is important to buyers of high-end new TVs. NY is beautiful in late June and I'd love to meet you and have you help us determine who makes the world's best TV for 2016. -Robert |

It's been a while since I've been to NY, but for my next trip there I'd definitely like to pay you guys a visit.
btw. do you have any idea whether LG's first allocation of E6 for you guys will consist of both 55" and 65"? As it stands it looks like the 55" will be first here in Germany. I'm looking at the 65". |

Based on what information LG has shared with you, can you confirm that the only differences between the 65" G6 and E6 are the sound bar and 1 less HDMI input? Should everything else be the same? Panel quality / grey-scale uniformity, NITS of Brightness and input lag? I just want to make sure that I don't need the "Signature" model for getting the best performance out of any of these categories. Thanks for your help! |

It would be great if Robert could do the same measurements (color space, nits etc.) for the E6, including input lag.

@ Y2JDMBFAN, yes the E6 has the same picture specs and performance as the G6. Other than the G6 gets 4 HDMI inputs and the upgrades audio system you also get a 2nd remote control with the G6 and faster delivery.
Two more features that I have not confirmed that the G6 has discrete codes and an IoT interface that I am not sure comes with the E6 series. Stand by for my update on those two features. @ Yappa, yes we will be testing and measuring the 65" E6 % of P3 and peak nits. |

Also, what benefit is the discreet color code and IoT interface? Or is that what you are going to describe on your upcoming update for the features? |

Ok, I guess I will need to look for your update, as I am still not sure what all of that entails. Hopefully you will get into more detail on what is ‘optimum programming’ and control systems. |

I don't think you are missing much with the 2nd remote. Here's a photo of the two remotes that come with the G6. The E6 gets the larger remote.
![]() LG just allocated our first shipment of 65" E6s and they are now scheduled to ship the week of 4/11. |

So I guess that means that you should be able to ship to first E6 buyers on the 18th.
Yeah, even if the E6 included the 2nd remote, I would never use it. The magic remote is all I need. Will be interesting to see how the "premium" magic remote that is included with the G6 and E6 compares to the "normal" one that you get with the C6 and B6. |

I like the new G6/E6 remote. Nice ergonomic feel and very intuitive with powerful functions. Shaking the remote activates the cursor and it navigates quickly and accurately.
webOS3 works very well, very snappy and easy navigation. -Robert |

HDTV Test just published David Mackenzie's G6 review. We spent a few days reviewing several G6s in our totally black theater.
Check it out here. -Robert |

My next TV will be an OLED. In fact, I keep trying to find a spot, somewhere in the house, where I could stick one on the wall. If I asked my wife, I bet she would say because I spend so much time in the garage, that would be the perfect spot. If I were in the business like you, Robert, I would have them all over the place. But I am not that lucky. . |

I remember driving to Las Vegas just to see the 75" that was at Fry's when they first came out. It had been on display for $25,000.00 and running the same 2 minute demo video over and over from Jan to May. The panel was over 50% burn in and IR. It was awful. So sad to have seen. Not in a million years did that display create one sale. ---------------------------- (Never mind. I just saw the 77" on LG's web site. $25,000) Bedroom? I took a look and maybe I could talk my wife into that. But it would have to be a 55". When you get a price on the OLED55E6P could you let me know? . Last edited by JimShaw; 04-01-2016 at 10:22 PM. |

Here's a recap and quick summary of LG's 2016 4K OLED offerings:
- 55" B6/C6 $2,999 - 65" B6/C6 $5,999 - 55" E6 $3,999 - 65" E6 $6,999 - 65" G6 $7,999 - 77" G6 TBT Picture quality is very much the same on all four 2016 series. The E6 and G6 share the "Picture on Glass" elegant design, the C6 and B6 look much like the EF9500 series with a brushed aluminum bezel frame. C6 is the only curved screen model. Audio quality is best on the G6 Signature series with a HK 65 watt per channel 4.2 speaker system. The G6 has 4 HDMI inputs all other models have 3 HDMI inputs. G6, E6 and C6 are 3D capable and come with 2 sets of passive 3D glasses, the B6 does not support 3D. G6 comes in 65" and 77", all other series will be available in 55" and 65" screen sizes. The flagship G6 Signature Series launches first and is available now, 65" E6 is scheduled to ship into LG's select early launch partners the week of April 11th, with the 55" by the end of April. B6 and C6 are scheduled for the end of June. Here's a link to a comparison chart I built on LG's website that details all of the differences. -Robert |

Thanks for the pricing. Now I would like your thought. I am building a demo/fake TV out of foam and Monday I will place it on the wall, over the armoire so my wife can get an Idea what it will look live vs the TV in the armoire. My question to you is: Since I will never use HDR or 4K Blu-ray on that set, would I be better off ordering the 55EF9500 vs the 55B6 to save money? Or possibly is the panel, 4K upscaler, etc better on the B6 makes it a much better set even though it won't be used to its potential? . |
