As for the 55EG9600, I am waiting to see the results of the calibration on the one you have and Cleveland Plasma. Perhaps Larsen at Flatpanels will have one to test soon. The local Best Buy isn't carrying the 55EG9600 and the 65EG9600 is "coming soon". I hope when they do get the 65, they set it up in the Magnolia area, rather than out in the glaring high ambient light of the main showroom where the 1080P model is on display. |

I called the high-end Magnolia in Costa Mesa, CA a few days ago and asked when they would see a 65" OLED. I was told not for a long time. He also mentioned B.B. only has 3 coming for the west coast and they are already sold. Was he lying to try and get me into an LED, I don't know. I might get to see one in 2016 unless I fly to Scarsdale, N.Y. n |

For anyone that is interested in price potential(I assume these are MSRP) or in stock availability, this is a local place (ABT) in Illinois that should have the OLED's in stock for sure soon. There showroom is great if you live nearby and have to see them for yourself.

That's my point; they are advertising as though they have the pipeline full of product, when the retailers don't even have one on display yet.
I understand they are after the high end of the market, but this is ridiculous. Part of the problem is they are selling most of the panels to Chinese manufacturers for displays sold in China. |

Question: The 65EF9500 is going to have a Quad-core processor The 65EF9800 a Deca core processor with external speakers. I have read that the Deca is a faster processor possibly to run apps more efficient???? If all one is going to do with the TV is watch movies by way of Blu-ray and some streaming and the set's speakers are of no use or apps aren't used, is there any other reason that you can think of as to why that person should spend more money to get the 65EF9800 because of it's faster processor over the 65EF9500? m Last edited by JimShaw; 03-24-2015 at 05:25 AM. |

Jim, Yes, all of LG's 2015 OLED TVs have their new Quad Core processor except for the 65EF9800 and possibly the 77EG9900.
From what I am told the 65EG9800 Deca processor only helps with the Smart interface, apps and the upgraded 100W per channel HK audio system. I'll ask again as it seems like the 10 core processor could have other benefits and uses. -Robert |

A customer review of the LG 55EG9600 has been posted on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics...ds=lg+55eg9600 Anyone interested in calibrating the LG OLEDs might get some benefit from reading this thread covering an EC9300 calibration. Seems that better results are achieved using the wide gamut rather than 709 http://www.avsforum.com/forum/139-di...l#post32939993 Last edited by raygendreau; 03-27-2015 at 09:45 PM. |
