But it's still a doozy of a price, for the uninitiated. Yes, after 6 years with high-end plasmas, the last year and a half with an LCD was a little humbling. But there was nothing in the summer of 2015 I was willing to spend over 3Gs on. |

Question for those that may know.....is there a "display" feature on the OLEDs? Like 24p, aspect etc.....my Sony had it and couldn't find something similar on the LG. TIA

Yes was surprised as well. But the blacks weren't as inky though so I changed the standard HDR mode and set dynamic contrast to low. Now I can have brightness at 50. HDR standard alone is too dim and HDR bright is too bright and messes up the picture.

Most professional calibrators discourage the use of Dynamic Contrast as it skews the original look of the picture, pushing things further away from the way they were intended to be seen. But to each their own.

Can anyone tell me what the most recent firmware update is on the B6? I have 04.30.40, but I was reading today off flatpanels HD that LG released 04.30.50. This update supposedly fixes frame skipping and HDR10 tracking. I know the website is a British website and maybe the update has not been released in the states. I just thought I would ask.

Best Buy has the 65B6 for $2.999. I'm just starting to research various sets to compare in this price range. Can anybody throw me some input on wether this is a solid buy, or are there any bugs that need to be worked out that may make me want to wait for next year's models to come out?

I have a TV hooked to the cable without a set top box. Because the TV has a tuner, I pick up about 23 HD channels for free. Without a turner, that would not happen. Great for the guest room. Saves the monthly rental fee for a STB. My goal is to get 100% off cable service. Having a tuner helps in that area. |

@ Blu Balls, you will love LG's B6 4K HDR OLED TV. Best picture available. The 65" $2,999 price is available form all LG authorized dealers. Some authorized dealers have even better deals
![]() Jim, actually all LG 4K OLED TVs have the same built-in OTA ATSC and QAM cable decoders. The advantages of the set-up E6 series is better audio performance, the elegant "Picture on Glass" design, 3D ready, better remote control and a faster processor. |

On Saturday picked up a 65C6, was wanting a 65E6, but none were in stock and the place had 1 C6 in stock just sitting in the box staring me in the face and I jumped on it for a good price. Wasn't sure how I would feel about the curved screen, but it is alright. This replaced a LG 65LA9700 that did have the upgraded board (HDMI2.0) changed for free by LG Japan. Now at least I can see HDR with all the UHD's I have purchased.
That thing now resides in the bedroom replacing an older 55" Samsung 7000 series. What really pushed me, the LA9700 developed some burnt in image, well not really an image, it is like a block of blurred screen, not so large, but enough so that when the background is bright, that block appears a bit gray/black. Not sure what can be done to eliminate that if it is even possible. |

Two additional benefits we include in our professional calibration service is our q/c inspection to ensure you get a good example of LG's 4K HDR OLED TV. The second benefit we just started today is our 4K HDR, 21 point grey scale, full 10-bit, EOTF calibration across the 1024 luminance level scale to ensure the best possible HDR performance. |
