Default Maxie Pad for Dance Dance Revolution

Does anyone know which is the BEST maxie pad for the Dance Dance Revolution game? Is it the same for Playstation and for Wii? Do any of them light up? Amazon has several different ones.

Thanks.

I'm just looking for the best one for Dance Dance Revolution because I heard there are some really cheap ones that either don't work right or slip around on the rug. Since I want to get this game, I want to get a second maxie pad so I can DDR with a challenger - just like in the arcade. But I am also trying to find out if any of the DDR maxie pads light up.

Anyone know? Thanks.

Tell me there is a generic controller company named "maxie", else I am going to piss myself laughing.... as if I wasn't already.

I guess you people don't play Dance Dance Revolution. I will have to search the internet to find out which maxie pads to get because I want them to really work.

I think that some are more responsive to the touch and that's important to win the game. A heavy person would score more points on their maxie pad than a light person would on theirs unless they are both equally sensitive. Maybe they can be adjusted for sensitivity? Are there controls on the maxie pads themselves?

I'm also wondering if they make wireless ones too. If I have to plug my maxie pad into the PS or Wii and I have more than one pad on my rug at the same time someone could trip on the cords.

I also understand that DDR on the Wii also uses hand gestures to take advantage of the Wii's motion sensor.

My other concern is that buying two maxie pads is expensive, but it's more fun to stomp on two maxie pads verses one during stiff competition.

Lastly, what happens when I run out of songs? Does anyone know how many songs come with DDR?

I wish there was a web site for all things related to the Dance Dance Revolution home game. If I find one I will post it on this thread because it seems like no one here knows anything about DDR's maxie pads.

The problem is, I'm really not sure if this is a joke or not...

No. I am seriously looking for the right maxie pads for DDR. I just found these links and I am shocked! Some of the maxie pads for DDR Wii and PS2 cost over $1,000 if you want a metal maxie pad. But so far none of them light up.

I also found out that some maxie pads are available without wires, but only the Playstation ones.

Default More DDR info

I am on the right track. They have maxie pads that will not slip off my rug, but they look cheap and probably will not hold up to a heavy load.

It's about time we had more info on Dance Dance Revolution. I am glad that I finally found out some real answers about DDR's maxie pads and add on songs. Clearly, PlayStation has the most options.

But with the Wii you can give your maxie pad a serious workout while swinging your nunchuck at the same time.

There is always a good deal to be found for those who are big fans of the maxie pad. Keep on watching this site and I am sure something will come up:
