For the most part, they are usually just rumors. After the premiere last night it is possible that what they posted was not a rumor.

Lesson learned. One SHOULD NOT click on spoilers on the week of the opening of any movie.

Man, theforce.net is in meltdown mode after finding out a couple key plot points weren't what they've said they'd be for the last year. It's really funny to see them start trash talking the movie as garbage. The two plot points in question are spoilers, so I'm tagging them. You are forewarned.

[Show spoiler]Snoke isn't Plaguies or however you spell his name. They're losing their crap over that. XD

The biggest however is that Rey is not a solo, and we don't know who her parents are this film. They're in absolute hysterics over it, calling it horrible writing, and wretched story telling. Like... Really? XD

Was it from tigermoth? If so you have nothing to worry about, he was trolling the movie yesterday giving it one star without even seeing it. I just read his post and his "spoilers" sound very made up and predictable. He's just trying to mess with people.

I clicked on a spoiler earlier and saw one thing……kind of already knew it so I'm not too heartbroken. Didn't read anything else and I'll be avoidling spoilers like the plague the rest of the week. Just sucks if I want to go back and read spoilers on what people thought of the movie the thread is going to be huge by then.

So I didn't read all the twitter reaction, but I see that this seems to be the concensus:

Negative:
- Story too similar too New Hope
- Too much fan service

Positive:
- Fun
- Humor
- Superbly well shot and directed
- Great character interactions

For me the most important part honestly is the characters. Star Wars always was low on plot anyways.

That is your problem, and that of all the prequel bashers. You keep forgetting that Star Wars was created mostly for the children, though done in a way that many adults would also be able to enjoy if they tagged along.

Lucas based the series mostly on the Saturday morning serials from the 40s - you know, the ones only KIDS went to watch? Even most teenagers wouldn't have been caught dead going to those, they wanted to do grown-up stuff.

And of course, all the prequel haters are just mature enough to say it is all Lucas's fault...

[Show spoiler] Was it ever specified that Rey was a Solo outside of fan speculation? Because from what I have read and gathered, they never once said out right who Rey is. There is even speculation that Finn could be Han's illegitimate child. All I know is that she will play a role in the next two movies.

Anyways fans already knew that the EU is no longer cannon so Disney can do whatever they want as they will be re writing history, literally, from now on.
