Really....when I asked him in 2006 why the LaserDisc transfers were on the DVDs he said that the LaserDisc copies were the best quality they had available to them because all the original prints had been destroyed.

and if not there are therapies for that. TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) works for Testosterone and I am sure there is the equivalent for females...But there is more than Testosterone to be concerned with (at this point I would state I'm no expert) but there are at least 5 or maybe more, hormones that I have been tested for and every one except one of them was very low. Low T was of course one of them and I have the option to do TRT with my Dr, but my thyroid and DHEA are also both low...you can't get DHEA here in Canada, your Dr has to apply to some special program to get it imported, something like that, it's ridiculous process. My Dr also won't prescribe me Thyroid, if I want it I have to get it via other means which is easy enough but expensive when not paid for by my prescription benefits. There are other hormones too not mentioned that I don't know what they are where there is no therapy for them either.

Anyways, my point was not to argue but to elaborate on the hormone statement a little.

He lied. No one who knows jack squat about filmmaking could hear that and not burst out laughing.

Happy hormones, like dopamine, serotonin, norepinephrine...all are stimulated and regulated by exercise, diet, and sleep. These are our body's natural mood stabilizers. If you have a thyroid disorder, there are therapies for that. Women who are in menopause can take estrogen and progesterone. Insulin can be regulated to a certain extent by diet, and GH can be affected by diet and sleep. My point was that how we age is hugely effected by the choices we make. What we choose to put in our bodies, how active we are, and how we allow ourselves to recover make a huge difference in our appearance as we age.

Maybe pristine negatives of the un-touched OT Star Wars are at Area 51 along with the Lost Ark and Crystal Skulls.

I was an entertainment reporter back in 2006 and when I talked to Lucas and his VP of Marketing I got the impression from both of them that they had made a concerted effort to track down all the prints of the OT and destroyed them, precisely because Lucas wanted the Special Editions to be THE only versions available.

Lucas was even reluctant to include the LaserDisc versions on the DVDs but it was impressed on him by his VP of Marketing that they needed some new special features to entice people to buy the individual releases and the OT might do the trick.

It was a total fluke I got to speak with them. Fox was handling the marketing effort and all the listed media contacts were at Fox Home Entertainment. However, I managed to ask a question that had Fox stumped and the flustered Fox rep on the phone said "Why don't you ask Lucas" and rattled off a phone number. I expected to speak to a Lucasfilm lackey when I dialed the number but quickly realized the person on the other end was no lackey.

I quickly gathered myself and started asking some hard hitting questions, including reading off reviews from Europe where the DVDs had been released a day earlier. Fox didn't send out any review discs so they were those overseas reviews were best gauge of quality at that pont in time.

Too bad there wasn't anything at Comic-Con. Heck, they could have just displayed a new lightsaber and Disney would have won the whole weekend.

They're saving their Star Wars news for D23.

I think I can predict 3 things to a very high degree of certainty:

1. Disney Star Wars will be terrible

2. We will all pay to go to see it

3. No matter how terrible it is, there will be thousands -- if not millions -- of 40-year-old troglodytes on the internet bellowing that it's still better than the prequels and revised originals.

I was going to ask if they were doing anything at Comic Con. I dunno I kinda think they should've been there or did a press conference revealing something to build anticipation. Blown opportunity maybe?

So many negative comments about movies these days and how fans think they should be done. Give it a chance first before you bag it. It's the decent thing to do lmao! hehe

Very true if anything I feel much better knowing star wars is in disneys hands they do a good job with their properties in film . If it were any other studio that lucas sold to it would get run into the ground and rebooted and so forth. I'm can't wait to see what j.j has planned and disney

Oh, of course I have almost nothing to go on. I can't really "bag" on it, because there's nothing specifically to bag on. It's just generic pessimism. Or, as is popular to say in the Star Wars context, "I have a bad feeling about this".

Like I said, we will all pay to go see it.

I agree with 2 out of 3.

We all know it won't be worse than TPM and AOTC.

Well, if it is equally bad, or only slightly better, then that's still bad enough. It doesn't have to be *worse*.

Having said that, I can't see Michael Arndt writing dialog on par with the prequels. So I'm optimistic.

But you can't use the same formula here for past Star Wars films. The only thing we know for sure is the characters. We know nothing about the story so it's a bit irrational to say, "Well we know how well the prequel did..roll eyes, so we can expect the same from this series." Wrong. You can't approach it like that. That's like your boss giving you this big project that didn't live up to it's previous expectations and you're gonna say to him or her, "Sorry I can't do this...it sucked before and I don't want to be responsible for it sucking again." If that's the case, I wouldn't rely on you for big projects lol.

So you're already lining up to prove my third point true.

You have no idea how good or bad it will be, and you've already decided it's better than the Star Wars movies you hate the most.

Fine, it is highly unlikely for any competent director to make the films worse than those two.
