Also, has anyone heard that supposedly Lupita Nyong'o's role of Maz Kanata was significantly reduced her screentime because of her inability to act using mo-cap?

That came from a British tabloid, and it sounds absurd. Roles get cut down in editorial all the time, if her part was trimmed up, it was because of running time and pacing and unneccessary info. The woman won an Oscar. Pretty sure she can act.
