You like ANH the least of the originals? I don't think I can trust your opinion anymore now.

I was too young for Episode IV. Episode V was one of the first movies I remember seeing in theaters. I guess it's nostalgia more than anything else, but I do prefer V and VI (and now VII) over IV. But it's still a very close race. They're all tightly bunched together.

If you can answer, is the "chewie, we're home" line from Han the same one from comic con trailer or a different cut?

If it's not too much trouble could you download TOR Browser create a random Reddit account and describe the entire movie anonymously?

I feel bad for Col. Zombie. He's going to have to keep his mouth shut for another two weeks while constantly getting other users pressuring him for clues and answering their questions.

So who survives and lives to fight on in Episode 8....

[Show spoiler]Captain Phasma.....

But you won’t see Phasma tapping out after being carelessly knocked into a sarlacc pit like a wobbly toddler. Kennedy has big plans for Phasma and confirmed that the captain will carry on into the next movie. “She’s an important character, a baddie in the best sense of the word.”

any chance theaters are overbooking showtimes for this? Fandango shows that the 7pm 2D show at a local theater has plenty of open seats, but the self-operated ticket purchasing kiosks at the actual theater say all showtimes til at least 11pm are completely sold out. Ended up buying a ticket for that 7pm show via Fandango, so we'll see what happens. Just curious to know if anyone else has experienced this.

As a working member of Local 600 (the "camera guild"), I just received my copy of ICG Magazine with Star Wars: Force Awakens on the cover. It's a good technical article, not giving away any spoilers. But they did talk about how they used new lighting technology for the practical lightsabers on set, so the actors could actually be lit by the glowing blades. Pretty cool.

The most surprising thing about this issue (to me) was the opening "Wide Angle" column, written by Executive Editor David Geffner. This column is meant to be an introduction of sorts, to all the articles contained within. So of course he starts off by talking about the cover story on TFA. The similar magazine American Cinematographer has the same sort of introductory column, and I'll tell ya… I've been reading both of these magazines since I was in high school (wayyyy back in the late 80's), and in all that time I've never seen a single one of these opening columns editorialize or pass judgment on any movie. No matter what crazy terrible films the magazine has covered, they've never (to my knowledge) printed any opinions on whether those films are "good" or "bad". But in this issue's opening column, the Executive Editor actually states: "On December 18th... the lights will go down in theaters of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, which, if you're a Star Wars lover (and had to suffer through the last three "prequels"), really deserves to be subtitled 'A New Hope' for so many reasons."

I actually LOL'd. As contributors to forums such as this, we may think this statement isn't a big deal. After all, the internet is all about asserting opinions as if they're fact. But ICG Magazine (and American Cinematographer) are the film industry's equivalent of medical journals. It's pretty surprising to find that sort of clear-cut admission -- and condemnation -- by the Executive Editor.

I thought something looked different about the duels in this one, and I guess it is the way the actors were being lit by the blades. How were they lit in the other films?
