I think that was a well done part of his character. Dude thinks he's Vader when he puts on the mask. In reality he's insecure like crazy.

I just wished for more, and I just feel like we'll get a very anti-climatic setup from Kylo with
[Show spoiler]next movie he'll come back stronger and be a big bad A$$$, final movie or part we'll see how weak he is he'll piss and moan and that'll be it.

I'm happy with the writing and the powers, and what I saw.. Must just be a personal thing with Driver lol
I liked Maul. They killed him off too quickly. Everything you said about Kylo is spot on. He does seem like a whiny emo kid. Hopefuly they plan on building him up. I'd enjoy watching him become public enemy #1 over the next trilogy than have multiple villains inserted.
[Show spoiler]Maybe his new face scar will help you out with his appearance. lol

I love his voice and delivery when he is wearing the mask.

[Show spoiler]Why do people say Kylo is whiny because he thrashed some consoles? Don't you guys remember Vader choking out his own troops whenever they ticked him off?

Yeah I mean thats my #1 problem Driver he delivers the lines perfect, but Driver to me can nail that emo pouty I'm special too role, and thats not what I wanted growing up with Vader, growing up with Maul... They carried themselves sooooo different.

So when Kylo kills people or acts bad a$$ with sith powers instead of coming off menacing or oh SNAP he's awesome!! [While its all still cool and I loved what they did power/story wise], it just comes off as a "Ha! I do this because I can with my sweet powers" and if I don't win I pout lol.

No because he's
[Show spoiler] butthurt about Reys powers, mad about the other generals plan, crying to the about he can find the droid, sitting in his room I can be strong too.

Like I said to me its not how its written or what he was doing its Driver. Driver gives me that impression and always will..

[Show spoiler]I loved the hitting the consoles or going ape S* when mad lol

James Bond is a bit different because each film, up until the Craig films, are their own entity and don't relate to previous films, so the formula works with deviations here and there.

Fury Road, aside from being a chase movie, is very different from the previous films, both visually and from a story and subtext standpoint.
See people ... he gets it ... this is what I am talking about.

[Show spoiler]It could be said that's the Skywalker way. They all start out pouty and end up powerful. He might be very different soon.

[Show spoiler]I liked Driver as Kylo and he's going to inevitably be even cooler in the next movie with that scar on his face... although honestly I wish Rey had gotten the cool scar so she'd have some character.

In all fairness, he acts exactly like Anakin does and since Vader is his idol ... well ... it was acted perfectly. Saw absolutely no problems with it.

I'm sure if I combed all our old threads from back discussing PT... I'm sure I'd have had the same complaint with how they wrote him in the PT. This awesome god who would become Vader, whining about training, or seeing Namoi Campbell lol

I was prepared to be disappointed by the movie, but I thought it was fantastic, and Adam Driver and his Kylo Ren were the best thing about the new characters.

It's funny. Everything that some people don't like about Kylo Ren is exactly what makes him an interesting, flawed villain.

[Show spoiler]He has more power than Vader, but less control over himself. That's a scary combination. Vader would force choke an admiral to set an example. Ren's the kind of guy who would force choke the chef because his mashed potatoes were lumpy.

I guess that's true they've always kinda established these Jedis as babies from Luke whining about going in his speedo to having to share crop with uncle Owen another season...

I'll reserve final judgement on it till I see the whole story...

Bottom line even with my personal flaws I'll watch it again and again and loved it.

Wish I had a kid to experience it with the way I got to experience the OT and some of the PT when I was little.

If Kylo is
[Show spoiler]a whiny little ***** now, it should make his rise to all powerful Sith Lord
even more amazing. I don't have a problem with that, it should be fun to watch.

These couple handful of PT lovers/ OUT haters are all gonna say the same thing on this board. Always have since pre 2011! To them I say go play with your I-III BD's!
A bit over the top, if you ask me.
Why can't someone like the prequels without being called names?
