As Pacific Rim 3D, Titanic 3D and Jurassic Park 3D prove, conversions can be just as effective as filmed 3D in most aspects.

There are rumors the 3D blu ray of Star Wars VII is planned, but no official word yet.
Add The Little Mermaid to the conversion list...cost Disney a pretty penny, but it proves that with the right people doing the conversion and the deep pockets to pay for it, conversions can be fantastic.

I walked out about 20 minutes in and saw The Finest Hours instead. Pacing was typical of a JJ Abrams film. Just like Star Trek: ID, the film had wall to wall non-stop music, which yet again made me feel as though I wasn't watching a film, but an opera with the film being secondary.

Star Wars is classified as a Space Opera, so what did you expect?

This movie had just as much music as the other 6.

If no 3D or 4K available I'll just wait it out.

They finished all 6. The prequels were actually screened.

I don't know if all six being finished is true. From what I understand was the had begun preliminary work on IV, and hadn't got to far before Lucas sold to Disney. And all work was halted, during and after Sale. Kathleen Kennedy stopped all projects, like Clone Wars, and Seth Green's project which was almost finished, and 3D Conversions. Refocusing on Rebels, episodes 7,8,9 and stand alones, "New" Canon comics and books, all born out of the new management and Disney.

I don't really know if I believe this. If true... This is absolutely pathetic. You must be a teenager.

Despite how bad some people say episodes 1-3 were, the music was as good as 4-6.

In 7 no tune stood out, very bland.

I like 7, it just didn't "feel" like the other Star Wars films.

Maybe having Lucas at least do QC would have been a good thing?

I loved the fact that Rey's music used the piano. First for Star Wars?

The Scavenger, Follow Me, The Falcon, Torn Apart, On The Inside, The Jedi Steps and the Finale were not bland and neither was March of the Resistance, Maz's Counsel or Rey's Theme.

I will give you the opening Main Title music felt different and for the other 6 movies is was identical.

I am not so sure the music was all that memorable for me either. I have only seen it three times but I can't recall any of the new themes where with all 6 films there are plenty of tunes that I can recall from each movie and visualize the scene. I might need to see Episode 7 a few more times before it sinks in but I felt like the music just wasn't trying as hard.
