She seems to have a permanent duckface though in all the recent pictures I've seen of her. I hope she's not doing that throughout the film, otherwise it'll be more like Selfie Wars than Star Wars.

Filming is wrapped, John Williams is scoring a teaser trailer.

I think that things are about to get kinda nuts for us Star Wars fans in the next couple of months.

Teaser by Christmas maybe?

I thought it was '15 before we'd see anything, keeping my fingers crossed for a nice Christmas Surprise

Hardly recognized Mark without his epic jedi beard.

I don't know what I'll do when the trailer actually hits, just talking about it gets me all emotional lol.

I assumed first teaser would be tied to Avengers 2, with the whole Disney connection and all. No way he is scoring a teaser that is being held off for the next six months though, so obviously it is coming sooner.

I never really liked how his beard seemed unkept.

The teaser will see a star field, then a lightsaber enters the frame, slow zoom out and then title card.

I like the beard but it did get pretty wild near the end.

This length looked best IMO:

I can't wait to see a trailer now. I love Star Wars. All of it. That includes the prequels. I will give JJ the benefit of the doubt on this. I loved his Star Trek. He did say that he was more into Star Wars, so here's hoping that shows through this.

Although his role may end up being nothing special or disappointing, my excitement to see Mark Hammil in a big role again is equivalent to the anticipation I had hearing about the comebacks of Travolta in Pulp Fiction, Carradine in Kill Bill, and Rourke in The Wrestler.

I doubt Hammil will get any other big roles in other films so a comeback is unlikely, but to see him again in Star Wars is really exciting. I dont really feel that excited to see Harrison Ford or Carrie Fisher though. Im actually a bit nervous that those two will throw the film (s) off.

The comeback for the others mentioned was of new fresh different characters. In Travoltas case a complete opposite character his fans would have seen before.

Hammil is Skywaker, always has been always will be and in any guest appearance always is.

This is no comeback

Wouldn't surprise me if we see a teaser trailer during the Super Bowl.

Personally I'm trying to have realistic expectations. All I want is for it to be good, and if it is I'll be happy. But to not only equal but surpass the best the series has to offer (ANH and TESB), that's just not realistic, or fair, to expect from it.

I am hoping the tagline will be "You loved the originals, then they were ruined and you were given crappy prequels, now get ready for an all new adventure brought to you by the director who ruined Star Trek". Is that too wordy to fit on a poster?

I've always appreciated how candid and honest Anthony Daniels has been about the series. But I'm still going to keep my expectations in check, because I don't want to get them so high that I'm let down by the time I walk out of the theater. Still, good to see he's so happy with how he feels the film is going.

Just replace it with "Butthurt" and everyone will know what you're complaining about.

How is JJ Abrams as a director? I've never had any desire to see anything he's directed. He seems like just a successful Hollywood hack. Are his films interesting or unique in any way?
