Streaming a lot more panels today. Less downtime/watching people mill around/awkward filler chat.

Battlefront panel first up at 10:30 , then Ray Park!

No. You hear the same thing repeated enough, eventually you tune it out. I don't think the PT is nearly as good as the OT, but since TPM was my first time seeing a full SW film, I don't find them to be the childhood rapists some folks do.

+1

I like the prequels (some way more than others) and Clone Wars but I'm not at all miffed about the ST "bringing the magic back", in fact I'm ****ing stoked about it. In some ways the prequels weren't even about the "magic", they were about how the "magic" came to be, kinda like a Star Wars procedural rather than the rip-roaring adventures which the OT was famed for. And because the ST is following the OT it was always gonna be leaning more toward action and adventure rather than trade disputes.

link? what leaked info?

I'm just pissed the trailer (and everything they're showing still) was obscured by the "technical difficulties" banner across the screen. The only technical difficulty is your message blocking our view!

That's what makes me think that the original plan was for there to be no other Jedi. Jedi are just quintessential Star Wars though, so writers find it hard to leave them out.

In the Rebels episode "Path of the Jedi" Yoda make direct mental contact with Ezra and Kanan, and he certainly sensed Anakin's fall and the deaths during Order 66, and followed Luke's life. That doesn't prove my point, but presumably he'd be able to track other Jedi if he knew they were alive - and the fewer there were, the easier it would be.

That REALLY sucks for me, because I hate hate HATE online multiplayer games. For guys like me that don't have tons of time to play games, it's absolutely no fun. Guys who do nothing but play videogames all day just immediately and constantly annihilate casual gamers like me who try to play anything online.

I can still play single player vs. computer, of course, but a campaign in addition would have been nice.

Planned on getting a PS4 just for this game but if no campaign feature I just saved about $500.00. Not a big fan of video games to begin with but I dislike online play for the reasons stated above.

judging from the description above, and all the crashed Star Destroyers, X- Wings, etc, on Jakku.... Was Endor a moon of Jakku?

nevermind.... they just said it's a separate planet.

I'm with you guys on this. I'm majorly disapointed by this news.

I "dabble" a bit in online with some games, but it is by far not my main interest with gaming. I really enjoyed the previous two Battlefront games (I still have them, in fact), and I would have been looking forward to this one if the single player campaign had been stronger.

But I won't buy a game that is online only or primarily (with any offline mode being minimal to nonexistent).

I guess I would call myself a "hardcore casual gamer." I'm very interested in video games, I keep them long term (I still have every console I've ever owned going back to Atari 2600), I have most of the current systems, etc.

But I also play at my lesuire. While I may get a new game, be excited, and try to play as much as I can, other priorities, both in terms of needed responsiblities and even other things like my wife and I watching our favorite TV shows together put some limit on how much time I can put into it, and when that time occurs.

You get these people who play the hell out of a game and just dominate online. I just don't have the time or patience for that. Even reading the descriptions of the online campaign, in which you have to "do well" in order to play as characters like Vader immediately turns me off because odds are I won't stand a chance of ever trying those characters out.

I would have bought this game if it had a solid single player component. And it looks visually impressive. But I'll be saving my money.
