Can't wait for December 18th!
He is a deserter on the run and the only weapon he seems to have is something he probably never used before, of course he's agitated.

The only thing real about the original IMAX venues is the screen size, but any future productions will be digitally presented, usually with two overlapping projectors until the laser projectors are eventually installed.
I would agree with you on the end of 70mm IMAX, but it's looking like there will at least be a few real IMAX prints out there (see here). Although, I wasn't impressed when my local IMAX brought film back for Dark Knight Rises (they didn't even bother with Interstellar), so I'm not holding my breath.

But that is nitpicking, I like it especially with the lightsaber glow, gives some connection to the hangar scene in Attack of the Clones.

I'm assuming he isn't trained at this point. My suspicion is that the movie definitely centers around searching for Luke, and this could be the scene where Finn shows so much forthright bravery and an intuneness with the force that while Ren is handily beating him, maybe even mocking him ala Vader v Luke in ESB and Bane v Batman in TDKR, that Luke reveals himself and steps in, swiftly exuding so much power that it forces Ren to flee, and then we hit moments between Luke and Finn like Luke's VO in the second trailer, or Luke huddled over the fire with R2.

No, it looks like something very spooky is approaching him. Since he's in a forest, I keep intuitively thinking it's a wolf of sorts, but obviously it's something or someone else - I'm guessing someone (or something) that he can't see well for some reason.

Personally, I think this portends well. When in any of the other six Star Wars movies did any character truly look like they were fearful? The only time I can think of was when Leia was taken into that room that had some torture devices. Most of the danger in the other films was either played for laughs or with no emotion at all.

As far as the way Boyega is holding the lightsaber, he's holding it like he's going to use it as an offensive weapon and not like he's going to have a duel. I think this is also good.

"The Force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it. My sister has it. You have that power, too."

I interpreted this as Luke speaking to a relative, such as a niece.

He was speaking to Leia.

He said this to Leia in Return of the Jedi. If he repeats it in The Force Awakens, he's likely speaking to someone else. Another family member. Probably not Finn.

luke already mentions his sister has it, so, it's not talking to Leia. he is either talking to a family member or a very close friend. we just need to wait and identify that person to determine the relationship to the skywalker gang.

It has been confirmed that the voice-over was taken from Return of the Jedi remixed with new recordings specifically done for the teaser trailer. It is highly likely that the line won't be in the film.

Luke: You're wrong, Leia. You have that power too. In time you'll learn to use it as I have. The Force runs strong in my family. My father has it. I have it. And... my sister has it. Yes. It's you, Leia.

This is probably already covered, but gives insight into some new characters to a degree:

First should say I have not been following this thread closely, but this Boyega kid, he does not fill me with confidence...

Lil' tidbit about BB-8 from Empire: they didn't actually complete the fully articulated remote control version in time for filming, so they used a combo of techniques for the movie including a 'bowling ball' version that they could just hurl into shots and a more expressive hand-operated puppet (I'd say there's probably a bit of CG assistance here and there too).
