It's reactions like these that bring a huge smile to my face.

Never pre-bought tickets before. How does this work? When tickets go on sale will it only be for opening day or will they be selling tickets for other days as well?

Looks like the pre-sale will be for 12/17/15 at 7pm through 1/3/16, according to io9: http://io9.com/you-could-soon-buy-ti...awa-1736560695

Heard that the ESPN Fantasy Football app updated with Star Wars: The Force Awakens logos for your team. A hint for Monday?

I can't imagine it would just be for opening day. At least opening weekend. It's not the worst idea to get them ahead of time if you plan to see it in IMAX. I pre-purchased Dark Knight tickets 7 1/2 years ago for opening night and I'm glad I did as those screenings were sold out for weeks(at least on Fri-Sun).

I think I'll get two tickets in advance. First showtime and that Friday morning. It's going to be crazy every day going into 2016.

Those "reaction" videos are so obnoxious.

1. They give the impression this is the first time they've seen it (this makes him a liar as well as a blasphemer)

2. Their terrible acting/reactions show us this is clearly not the first time they've seen it.

3. Their phony, planned reactions are almost vomit inducing and I'm sort of embarrassed for them.

4. It shows us what an attention w#ore society we've become when even a "priest" throws himself and his phony reactions on YouTube.

If anyone wants to be amused head over to theforce.net message board and check out the trailer #3 thread. They are currently arguing over the marketing for the trailer. Comedy gold!

Wonder which versions they'll be showing of the Holy Trilogy. The 1997 SEs? Or will it be the 2004 DVD or 2011 Blu-ray abominations?

Most likely the Blu-Ray abominations. I'm pretty sure that's what they showed for The Phantom Menace.

They won't be. Only AOTC was released in IMAX, so they are not doing remastering of five films just for a marathon.

Also, it is very likely going to be the blu ray versions (the canon versions of the films). A local art house did play 1997 A New Hope on an archival 35mm print this summer, but don't think Lucasfilm will send out any new DCPs of the older editions.

Yeah, it's a confederacy of people who think things like, "LucasFilm should have spent $50 million dollars making a 15-minute prologue, cause that would be neato, and LucasFilm/Disney should learn from this mistake" and "people in Canada won't be able to watch the trailer because they'll be watching election results, and apparently won't have an internet connection or a cell phone or won't change the channel for 90 seconds", among many many other entertaining opinions.

I love my fellow Star Wars fans, but sometimes some of them are nuttier than Chip and Dale's basement.

Here's why I think this Monday Night Football stunt is happening. Disney's stock price took a sizable hit several weeks ago upon a report that ESPN cable subscriptions were down. The trailer is going to go live on the internet practically instantaneously with the TV airing and the internet is how most people are going to see it, so I don't think this is going to do anything about that particular problem with ESPN's cable earnings -- but it does promote the ESPN brand, even if only to marginal effect, so...why not.

No, no...sorry, I was unclear. Not IN Imax, projected in the IMAX theater (we only have two of them here in San Antonio, a real bona fide IMAX and across town a lie-max). Back in the day, because the original Imax theater needed money, they would project classic movies. They weren't IN Imax, just projected on the screen with that amazing sound system. I saw 2001 A Space Odyssey there, along with The Hunt for Red October and The Abyss.

I'd be perfectly fine watching Star Wars films the same way, leading up to the 7:00 p.m. IMAX 3D showing.
