Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (USE SPOILER TAGS!)

When I watch the trailer I see Luke in the character Rey. She is on a planet and claims to be "no one" probably feels she will never leave and her life is there, not to improve upon, much like how Luke felt in the original Star Wars, but that she becomes a heroine much like how Luke becomes the hero.

While I am probably way off I believe Rey to be a "Skywalker" in the sense that she is the offspring of Han and Leia. I also felt that about Poe Dameron that they could be brother/sister but then thought that maybe that would be too "Star Wars-ish" making them out to be Luke & Leia 2.0. But I do think Rey is their offspring and perhaps for reasons we dont know yet is Han and Leia put her up for adoption at a very early age, perhaps when she was an infant fearing the Empire would eventually seek her out and that they wanted her to have a normal life and not be known, and she finds out in the film that her parents are Han and Leia. The trailers do certainly hint at the powers of the force being handed down per say to someone, and kind of implies her.

Who Poe Dameron is, unsure, perhaps he is her brother and the dont know it, but again, too many shades of the Luke/Leia brother and sister without them knowing it until ROTJ. Perhaps Poe is the offspring of Wedge as he did have a part in all three of the original trilogy of films.

I then thought perhaps Kylo Ren is Rey's brother, that Han and Leia had two children, a boy and a girl, but were separated at birth at a young age much like how Luke and Leia were and probably at the request of Leia because she knew how powerful the two of them could be and if they fell into the hands of the Empire, one could rise up to become a major threat to the Rebellion if turned to the dark side. Maybe Leia and Han realize that happens to him, that he is turned by the dark side and caught up with his grandfather's legacy (aka Darth Vader).

Where Finn fits into this or even based on the trailers, Luke himself since he makes no appearance in them except I suspect that his hand reaching for R2, who knows. Again all of this is just a weak theory on my part....

I'm Sure Luke will still have his green saber. I do hope there's a lot of new things and a lot of surprises and meat to chew on. What made the originals great was how less was more, and all the imagination of a greater universe it spurned in the viewer.
I secretly worry this is going to be a re-imagining of the original: new characters filling in the spaces of the old ones; Kylo is Vader, Rey is Luke, Luke is Ben and gets killed to become the force, new Death Star trench run, etc.. Hope not!

Poe Dameron is son of a rebel A-wing pilot who fought over Endor (Shara Bey) and one of the commando that was with Han and Leia in Return of The Jedi (Kes Dameron), there is a canon comic miniseries titled Shattered Empire about them.

come to think of it, there are some serious parenting issues going on in the SW Universe if these Jedi, non-Jedi folks keep separating their children at birth for the sake or 'protecting' their own legacies. Someone better get the GSS on the horn pronto.

Pretty demented when you think about it.

Anakin: mom made him work as a slave, then gave him away to some middle-age man, then moves on to be step-son to a creepier old evil man
Luke & Leah: dad killed mom, then dad got sliced up by their guardian
Bobba Fett: Dad teaches him to be a bad-ass killer at a young age, watches his dad get decapitated
Rey & Kylo: not looking good according to educational guesses

I think Chewbacca may have the healthiest normal family (for anyone who has watched the Holiday Special).

Did anyone see this clip where Mark Hamill says he pitched an idea to Lucas about Luke being evil. (Lucas rejected it.), but maybe Abrams agreed to it which means that Ren may be Luke.

We all don't agree, which is why the mods shut down this thread every once in a while.

But most (or many) of us agree that we're hyped/excited/anxious/happy/jumping for joy that a new SW movie is coming in 2 months!!!!!

Some dumb Hillbilly made this rumour of Kylo Ren being Luke. Seriously.. whoever follows that has no brain or eyes!

It can clearly be seen in the Vanity Fair photos that Adam Driver is Kylo Ren. It was even confirmed at Comic Con!!

Then you see Luke touching R2 in Trailers #2 and #3, yet people say they can't see Luke.. are they kidding? Either people need some binoculars or they need a new computer screen.

To go even further...

In the last trailer there is a shot of Kylo's back when he starts his attack on Finn. If you look at the Ren's body, there is no way that is Hamill.
