Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-Ray Release On April 5th?

Florian of Jedi Bibliothek has informed us that many books slated for April 26th have now been moved to April 5th, 2016. These books are believed to be part of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-ray and digital release push. There’s a good chance we will see the disc release on the April 5th based on this information.

Also, since this is the bottom of the page, count on this being reposted 3 or 4 times in the next 3 days.

Given that info and the way things work now (usually the digital release is 2-3 weeks before disc now, but actually has been earlier even for big titles like Age of Ultron) my guess is the digital release will be April 5th and the blu on the 26th.

movies like this.....i could care less what some "critic" thinks of it. a critic is nothing more than someone giving their opinion of a movie.

i'll judge how to spend my money on trailers and tv spots.

If there ever was a critic-proof movie, this is it. I'm just curious to see if it will beat Titanic in worldwide ticket sales. Beating Avatar seems impossible, but we'll see.

Most critics want this to be good just as much as the everyday fans do. I think it will do well critically

And that's how I'll see it, since there doesn't seem like there's going to be a 70mm IMAX presentation in NYC, but for those who care, Dolby Vision theaters don't project 3D even though it's a 2-projector system.

No, it's still accurate. That's all reviews ever have been. You can be more informed on the art of filmmaking than any critic. You can be more knowledgable too. Reviews are just people's opinions, and it's why they shouldn't be the defining word on whether or not someone sees a film.

Well said. I think critics, whether professional, amateur or somewhere in-between, can be useful, informative and thought-provoking, but in the end, films are art and art is subjective.

anyone can be a critic. just ask Armond White.

i've never seen/not seen a movie b/c someone gave it 5 stars or 1 star.

even the reviews on this sight i take w/a grain of salt. reviewing the technical merits of a film is one thing.....but once you start talking about how good/bad a story is, i for one have stopped listening.

i know what my tastes are and what i like......these so called "critics" have no idea, so why would i listen to them??
