Pacific Rim, The Avengers 3D, Dredd 3D and even Transformers AOE are beasts in a home theater with at least 5.1 and 1080p or 3D. Nice to see one of these flicks get the 4k Atmos treatment.

I'm hoping to see some Marvel releases on 4K. I'll be more than happy to double dip on some of them.

Received mine today, I won't be able to watch it for a little while yet but unless I'm very much mistaken this appears to be another triple layer 100GB disc.

I swapped out the included 5.1 Blu-ray for the US 7.1 Blu and extras disc which I cannibalised from my 3D edition, thankfully I could just change out the swing tray for a double-sided one.

I don't remember. I think I either restarted the movie or powered it off/on.

I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen but there's no official word yet.

Hope. You're right there's no official work yet. Disney will on Blu-ray then last UHD 4K.

Dolby Vision, with its license fees and extra hardware, is the more expensive implementation which has limited its adoption, even at the high end. Most display manufacturers and content providers have opted to support HDR-10 instead, significantly including Microsoft for the Xbox One S and Sony for the PS4, which indicates the way the gaming industry is leaning. This makes HDR-10 the easy format choice for console gamers.

Proponents of Dolby Vision tout its greater color depth, more demanding hardware standards, and frame-by-frame ability to adjust color and brightness on a dynamic basis, along with HDR-10 compatibility, but the market is moving towards the cheaper, good-enough standard of HDR-10 by itself.

Since HDR-10 isn’t compatible with Dolby Vision, that leaves Dolby’s superior but proprietary and expensive HDR standard at a likely dead end in a few years when HDR-10’s open-standard successor arrives

I also have the same problem. I put in another disc and it played fine, so I put Pacific Rim back in and it start the spinning disc again. I then press the pop up menu button and try to select a chapter and it gave me an error message but I kept trying and then suddenly I was back in the disc menu asking if I was to play from start or resume. I selected play from start and the disc worked again. By then it was getting late so I just powered off the player. Give it a try and see if it help you.

I had issues today again, this time it wouldn't load at all, stayed at the blank loading page with spinning Disc. Took me 10 minutes at least to get it working. Last time the spinning Disc icon was stuck in the middle of the screen while the movie was playing.

Yea, Woke up this morning and the spinning problem have returned. Going over to AVS forum to see if anyone else is having the same problem with the Samsung player or if it's a Disc problem. I think I'm still within the return period on Amazon so may want to exchange the disc just in case.

Have anyone experience this with any other disc?

Found a way to reset the player (holding the stop button for about 10 sec or until it reset), will try this when I gets home.

I also have another player enroute and should have it tomorrow so I'm going to try the same disc in the new player.
