Unless this dude was going to be in the next Star Wars movie,he should of made room on his busy schedule. Pacific Rim 2 is going to be significantly higher exposure than anything else he's going to work on. That's why I'm "following the money."

He may have thought King Arthur sequels would require his time. Clearly... that's not gonna be the case lol

Hunnam has shown some aversion to franchises, though; he dropped out of Fifty Shades of Grey kinda at the last minute.

He dropped out of the dog bleep that is Fifty Shades of Grey? Then I obviously misjudged the man. He definitely is a smart guy! 👍

British actor gets to play the ultimate British hero in the first of what was meant to be six films for a major movie studio and directed by one of highest-profile directors on the planet? He'd be stupid NOT to do it. The movie may not be anything great but it's hardly Hunnam's fault.

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but this is the first movie I have double-dipped on to get the UHD version. Is the included UV digital copy also a 4K version? I'm curious because I already have the UV digital copy that came with the original blu-ray and I don't see any point in redeeming another one if they're exactly the same.

If you redeem it through Vudu, you'll get the UHD version. I already had a copy in HDX, but I updated it to UHD.

Alright, after reading of some problems with loading this disc, i don't have that problem, but have another. The movie loads fast, but when playing the audio at many times drops out for less then a second, also 2 times the movie slows down for a second or 6. And the biggest problem is loss of picture, audio keeps going and the screen goes black for a second of 2. This while using a Samsung K8500. Only have 2 4K movies, this one and Suicide Squad, and SS runs without problems.

The player is directly hooked onto a Pioneer VSX 831 trough HDMI. Checked all settings in both devices, did resets, but the problem stays. Also noticed once while testing on Netflix there where audiodips too, but only once.

Faulty disc? Faulty player?

Edit, tried 3 different HDMI cables, same result. And every normal blu-ray runs perfectly fine without a hitch.

I haven't had that particular problem. The one thing I have noticed with mine is that during the scene where two kaiju attack Hong Kong, when the one that spits acid first comes ashore and is climbing over a building (maybe a parking garage) the audio plays through just fine, but the video looks like maybe the frame rate is struggling. It seems like it does it every time I get to this scene in the exact same place. If I let it play through, then rewind it, it plays through properly.

Sounds the same, but my audio struggles too, with other words, no audio for those 2 moments. First moment is just after the test fight with Raleigh and Maro, the second is where Maro sees her childhood and the Kaiju, and some jet fighters pass and in that moment it freezes for a second or 2 and then continues. The parts that play though look stunning and i watched the whole movie with all the faults.. but now I'm wondering what the problem is, disc or player..

Difficult to say. Just for reference, I'm playing mine in an Xbox One S that is run through a Pioneer Elite SC-95 AV receiver before going to my TV.

With audio issues you can also try to switch between player decoding the audio and the receiver decoding the audio. I think your player can switch betwen bitstream and pcm.
I usually have audio drops when I skip the chapters. But if the player is decoding audio then everything's fine.

Gonna look into that later today, maybe they both do decoding? I'll figure that out..

Alright. It wasn't the disc or the player. Since the disc played perfectly with the player hooked up directly to the tv. So, the receiver was the problem.
Looked into every setting and everything looked to be as it supposed to be... I tried different ports, no success. So then I thought, put it back into the bluray port and let's do a power cycle. And... that seems to have worked. Watched the movie, no signal loss whatsoever. The 2 points where the movie slows down and freezes are still there, but since they are just a few seconds and in non crucial parts of the movie it's no big problem. I will test again tomorrow though, just want to be sure it's fixed.

Jesus Christ, this was unreal. The legends were true.

I finally picked it up, and am sorry I waited so long. Probably for the best though, since I've got my TV settings all figured out and got more out of it now, than if I'd watched it months ago.

Definitely gonna need to rerank my top 5 best looking UHD's... great movie in general too, they went above and beyond.

It seriously makes me think about most of my other UHD's and feel like they slacked off. I know it helps because of the kind of hyper neon movie it already was, but it's crazy that this was one of the earlier releases on the format.

You rarely see this one drop below $30... they kinda deserve it imo
