I was thinking of getting Prometheus but it's only available to Prime members.

For those of us living in Canada, wouldn't it be better to wait for some potential Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals? The Amazon $50 deal is still pretty pricey once you factor in conversion rate, taxes and import fees. Not really worth it IMO.

i had no problem finding 3 titles i did not yet own, in any format, that i feel would be a good 3 for 50 deal, but could not find a 6th to use it twice, , will keep an eye on it to see if another title gets added to the list between now and 12/31

I buy most of my discs from the US now, as I really dislike the bilingual covers. So no matter how cheap some of the titles get (pacific rim for example), I still prefer English only covers. I know it's a bit silly but oh well

I was at Best Buy today and picked up a copy of Pacific Rim 4k in stock ($14.99 as advertised). No slip. UPC ends with 25 5.

I have not opened it yet, however I noticed that there's no mention of my case including a digital copy of the movie. All the pics of the case that I've found online (on this site, on best buy's site, walmart) show that the case includes 4K UHD + Blu Ray + Digital.

The SKU on my receipt is the same SKU on the best buy website (for the one that includes digital), so I'm thinking that the one I got does include digital, but there's really no way to tell without opening my case. Digital isn't mentioned on the front or back of my case.

Picture from Best Buy website. This one matches my SKU on the receipt:

Looking at Amazon, however, they show a front cover pic that looks like mine (i.e. without the "4K UHD + Blu Ray + Digital" banner on the front), however their back cover looks like it's from a slip which shows that digital is included. Further the title of the product on Amazon makes no mention of digital, but the details on the product page mentions that it includes a UV code.

Picture from Amazon, which matches my case (aside from the French subtitle):

So can anyone who already has this in 4K please check and see if their case matches mine (i.e. without the "4K UHD + Blu Ray + Digital" banner on the front and even lacks any mention of digital on the back) but it still contained a digital code? I really want to watch this, but don't want to open it if it doesn't include a digital copy as well! Thanks!

I have it with slip and that printing(4K, bluray, digital copy) is only on the slip. Your copy will have the code.

You were correct - I opened it and there indeed was a UV code inside. Thank you!!

I purchased this one over the weekend, upgrading from the blu ray version. After watching it today, all I can say is WOW! This picture is over the top with color and clarity.
I think this is my go to for showing off 4K HDR. This was always a good one for subwoofer demos, but now in 4K, it is a perfect disc for both audio and video demos.
Dale.

I grabbed a 'sale' copy also and just scanned a few scenes. The colors were fantastic. I just installed 4 ceiling speakers for 7.1.4 and the sound was top notch. When the fellow was in the bunker and the monster was above, the top speakers added some interesting sounds to make it very immersive.

Rewatched this today and still looking good. Only complain I have is that the brightest parts are crushed a little compared to the normal blu-ray. Like that early Alaska wall scene; there's very little detail in the sky. I guess it could be the limitation of my display. Colors and black levels are excellent.

What display?

I have an LG E6 OLED and I must admit I lean toward Vudu Dolby Versions over disc when available.

Did anyone else notice a little macroblocking during some of the fights? I can't tell if it's that or the rain in those scenes. Overall, the video isn't as sharp as I was expecting so maybe that's why it's a little blurry when the screen is filled with CG. Other than that, a few colors and some brights are a little crushed but overall, it's a satisfying disc.

If there's macroblocking, could be an issue with your player or display settings.

Apple TV 4K has dozens of 4k titles to rent though iTunes. I was thankful to get it for Christmas, so I can save some $$ on buying so many 4K titles.
