This title actually looks quite amazing in DV on both Vudu and Apple TV. The UHD disc is still my preferred medium, but you can still get a good UHD experience renting the digital copy.

I'm sure the discs are better, but the 4K streams on Apple TV look pretty damn good to me. I recently watched Kingsmen, Golden Circle on my ATV 4K, and was blown away with the PQ. If it is a movie I want anyway, I will likely buy it on UHD, but if I'm not sure about the film, I like the option to stream it.

It's funny, all the praise for this, while in fact, it's an upscale. But yet, so many other 4k upscales are so heavily cursed, but some look as good as this. Hmm, interesting.

Depending on your setup, some elements of the PQ might even be better when streaming. The colors were even more vibrant for me when streaming this on Vudu thanks to Dolby Vision.

I have had a slow work day (remote) so I have bounced between a few titles. Valerian 4k, Godzilla (1998) HDX, and a pinch of Scarface from limited edition blu ray steelbook.

Then I jumped back in to the 82 minute mark of this one (streaming on Vudu with HDR and Atmos). It is a STUNNER.

Decided to make this my first UHD disc watch. I don't think I've ever seen anything so gorgeous on a television screen.

Agreed. This is one UHD disc that is an immediately noticeable improvement over the regular Blu-ray. If you like the movie at all and have an HDR-capable TV, this is a no-brainer purchase.

Coming from loving the already stunning bluray, I just watched this last night...and WOW. It's my current reference disc. Stunning amount of detail and clarity on this one with NO GRAIN.

I really need this movie to go on sale again. I missed it on Black Friday and it’s been $31 since. I can only imagine how good it is, since the Blu Ray is reference. And then they added Atmos too!

They just now reviewed it? This was my first 4K purchase as soon as it was released because it's one of my all-time favorite films. Even though the 4k is spectacular I still will choose the 3D version instead which is stunning.

It's currently part of Amazon's 3 for $50 4K deal.
