And for you UKers, what better way to complete the last week in May than by watching Top Gun: Maverick in a theater on May 27th and seeing the 2022 Isle of Mann TT starting on the 28th –

I hope this movie is good because I’ve been looking forward for a sequel for decades.

good to hear the acknowledgement by ^ Bashir to Aviation Mechanics “….You need to have a pilot and you need to have somebody who knows how to fix the plane and get it off the ground

Along with female aircraft mechanics like Karla -
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/F...425583840).jpg
, there are also dedicated, hard-working women fighter jet pilots -

in real life and, for that matter, stationed at one of the naval air stations where Top Gun: Maverick was filmed - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post16863902

P.S.
And a recognition shout out to those who serve or who have served, one way or another, Michael (Monica’s brother) now in his second post graduate year of an Emergency Medicine residency in Ft. Worth - https://fortworthem.com/doctor/michael-barbaro/, who, prior to beginning a career serving others in medicine at Keck in Los Angeles, once served as a PO3 Machinists Mate in the NAVY, Staying Salty.

Not much time now ('bout time) before our screens fly over our own very eyes and ears ... IMAX, 3D, 4K HDR, Dolby Vision, ...all that jazz.
Well, I imagine to some it is certainly more interesting and exciting than talking about HDR – https://www.avsforum.com/threads/is-...#post-61640246 , or Michael B. teaching medical students in the ER how to relieve a gasping-for-air patient’s tension pneumothorax, anyway, Dolby Live Jazz & Piano...& Kisses – https://www.etonline.com/tom-cruise-...er-show-183348

Given their expertise, I would say that the toughest to please Top Gun: Maverick audiences – https://fallon.navylifesw.com/progra...0-17c185d913a6 might well be students and ‘Top Gun’ Strike Fighter Tactics Instructors – https://www.dvidshub.net//video/8288...rs-real-topgun

So, if any of you ^ folks are reading, might I suggest being understanding and not upset to the fact that Hollywood, with its creative license employed to keep audiences entertained, has a long tradition of embellishing or even inaccurately portraying the traits and daily lives of real people (which can be comparatively boring on an hour-to-hour basis (example the United States Naval Test Pilot School - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...r#post16682369 with all of its academic workload, like multi-variable calculus, physics, engineering, etc., as compared to a movie or television show with character-driven storylines).

FYI, some of the most expert physicians and nurses in the country, despite being able to easily pick out numerous flaws in terms of reality in shows like New Amsterdam and The Good Doctor, being personally satisfied and secure in their own professional accomplishments, are still able to enjoy the shows with their friends and families, fully understanding that such shows and movies are not meant to be true-to-life documentaries.

For example, remember how folks on the ground at Fallon certainly enjoyed the TG:M filming of the tower flyby on your base -

So, come the last week in May, sit back, relax, and be intrinsically proud of what you do, we are .

IMAX 2D for me, if I see it 3D I'll be wanting to pray to the porcelain god. I saw Top Gun in IMAX 3D and did not have a problem, but I knew the dog fighting sequences inside out and backwards.

update - https://abc7chicago.com/jimmy-kimmel...uise/11811849/
note to Miles and Jimmy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXlzty1gmOU#t=50s , seems SARS-CoV-2 gets the last laugh, at least in regards to what would have been this evening's show

oh well, on a brighter note, fortunately, my wife expects that, in time, the FDA eligibility criteria for Paxlovid will be relaxed.

don’t know, other than it's supposed to be feature-length and the Director is an avid (to say the least) Chelsea footy fan.

Got my IMax ticket for Friday! When I saw a preview for this in IMAX a couple of years ago I said I have to see it in IMAX-It looked great on that huge screen at Lincoln Center.

Not just excluded from A-List, but they also raised the ticket price in my area. Normal Dolby Cinema tickets are now $25.49 (I think raised twice since the start of the year) and the Early Access screening tickets are $30. I miss the Arclight so much.
