Blu ray player to Sony receiver Sony receiver to hdmi arc/earc port on tv. Classy tech had same problem. I can fix it by going into menu and changing to tv speakers then back to audio system.plugging player into tv also fixes issue.

I can't say all of the upgrades, but Dolby Vision for gaming should now be functional.

It's not coming for the general public. At least not for another 10 to 20 years. They can only be made using tiles now so that leads me to believe the yield rate isn't great.

But MicroLED is doing super at the commercial level. Literally hundreds of production facilities are installing them to forgo location shooting which is a huge savings in time and money. They are also being installed in corporate lobbies to show their products on huge continuous screens.

I believe Samsung has given up trying to make a 75" non-tile/single panel consumer version due to poor yield rates.

10 years is about when I'm gonna have faith it or some other iteration of higher brightness, higher color volume tech is a chance to come and actually deliver.

The next purchase(s) lasting 5-10

For now the content from 95% of Hollywood doesn't really need beyond QD-OLED. Still only on 2nd gen and already the refinements to it and maybe MiniLED as a backup set for a diff experience is sufficient for my needs.

There are a few different microLED designs and manufacturing processes. Right now, none of them are efficient and things only line up at certain sizes, which is why you see large, low-resolution panel-tiles - video wall products - being the only product shipping in large numbers. Down the line from that, you have large-sized "displays" and the majority of those are going straight to the business market as signage and boardroom TVs, with a smidge of what's being manufactured going into the luxury TV market, like Samsung's 110-inch offering that is only available in certain domestic markets.

Quality of nits matters over quantity. I hope these Chinese brands are able to nail their tone-mapping algorithm and motion handling.

But it won't fix vertical banding in near black right as it is down to the panel itself which is a shame.

I hear you but the QD ones each year almost eliminating the vertical banding at this point and uniformity plus the "vignetting" thing is super clean on the Sony, especially.

Seems like the Samsung OLED panel is doing better than the LG display variety over time.

Back on the A95L (for those who lost the panel lottery).
