Checking out the live. I hope Sony loses, but I wouldn't bet against them. Sony is like the New England Patriots and/or the KC Chiefs, the evil empire.

One of the things that impresses me with the Bravia 9 is the HDR brightness that it can achieve:

"Peak 10% Window: 2,873 cd/m²"

https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/so...led#test_31616

Bright scenes that are meant to be dazzling actually are on the Bravia 9 and it does a very good job with contrast.

I like to think of Mini-LED as the bridge technology that will lead to Micro LED improving and finally reaching consumer friendly price points.
That's why I used past tense "wondered" why.

You'll be more pumped if you actually buy one of them.

So it better to pay full price or a Black Friday discount for the same item? I don't care what day it is as long as it's a cheaper price.

LG G5 is getting crushed. The LG looks like it will come in last place.

They did like 4 different accounts of the scores, which seems suspect.

Was the scoring close or was the Shootout won by a wide margin?

It won because of SDR. It won by a photo finish. Sony came in 3rd behind Samsung and Panasonic for HDR.

To you if you can’t look at all 4 and see the Sony look cleaner then you need you eyes checked

Calibrators like D-Nice and Classy Tech preferred the Samsung S95F over the Sony.

This result was predictable and somewhat of a robbery.
