OK, I'm not a gamer. I'm a videophile, care wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more about picture quality than gaming, that's more of a millennial thing.

Oh noes. I built 3 computers with parts from Fry’s over the past 20+ years.

My most recent was with all parts purchased online as Fry’s just didn’t have best pricing or availability of what I wanted.

I’m both, a gamer and videophile. Which is why I love LG OLEDs. No reason not to have more than 1 hdmi 2.1 input on a 2021 TV, Samsung TVS are terrible anyway but i know they have their fans that love that oversaturated look.

New, stricter EU energy labels for TVs specify SDR & HDR consumption

Quote:
Starting today, TV buyers in the EU will no longer see A+++ on energy labels. The new, stricter labels specify a TV's energy consumption in both SDR and HDR mode.

As always Rip off Britain.

Also this TV does 1300 nits on a 2% window on Vivid mode. This means it could hit 1000 nits on a 10% window which Panasonic have been hitting for the last 2 years with the custom panel and heatsink implementation

Judging by your response you're probably more gamer than videophile. Videophiles tend to be older whereas gamers are younger millennial types.

I'm 30 and video/audio are my big shtick. I do play games but not competitively. Further, whenever possible I lock games at 30fps with resolution preferred. I do not like the look of high frame rate content and consider the spiel over it snake-oil outside of frame-counter competitive gaming. Of course sometimes it cannot be avoided so I take it as it is! It's not pretty but won't stop me from playing.

Panasonic does 1000 in vivid and only 800-900 in movie mode after calibration. The Sony A90J was measured at 1372nits in Standard mode, was actually not in vivid mode. The A90J will be in a different league from Panasonics previous flagship. Their new new flagship tho will have an upgraded heatsink and possibly the Evo panel.

As usual you are wrong, I will be 44 in November. And still no reason for Samsung and Sony to not have at least 3 2.1 inputs on their TVS for the crazy prices they charge.

It's still funny how there is this outdated notion that gaming is only for kids, the generations that grew up with video games didn't all just suddenly stop playing.

Samsung Is Making MicroLED TV Sizes That Are More Practical for Us Commoners

Quote:
Samsung’s consumer-friendly version of its larger-than-life The Wall display will eventually be available in a more reasonable 76-inch version—you know, for those of us whose homes can’t actually accommodate 110-inch televisions.

Samsung announced the smaller version of the MicroLED TVs today during its big Unbox and Discover event. While the 76-inch MicroLED will be made available “in the future,” the company said the 99-inch and 110-inch versions of the TV will become available closer to April. (It’ll sell an 88-inch version of the TV as well, and that size is slated to launch in fall.) Samsung previously announced sizes beyond the rather limiting 110-inch version of its MicroLED technology-powered TV during CES earlier this year.

No need of disputing with me, I've already looked at the numbers. The gaming demographics are primarily made up of millennials. If that's you're thing it's OK. I'm just saying, typically, the audiophile and videophile, for better or worse, are made up of the older "baby boom" generation.
