TCL USA launches 'XL Collection' of 85" 4K LCD TVs

TCL USA is launching its largest TVs to date with two new 85-inch LCD models in the 4- and 7-series ranges. A 85-inch 8K LCD model with miniLED backlight will launch later this year.

That FLATPANELSHD article says the 7-series 85R745 model has 192 dimming zones at price of around $3000 USD. That will lure some people to buy, I'm guessing.

Not me, I'm more waiting for another Sony (or Panasonic) somewhere down the line.

Same here. I won't touch TCL, Hisense or Vizio due to their Q/A issues. The Japanese electronics brands still have much higher reliability and Q/A control. I don't care what any Amazon review or other buyer says. I'll stand by this.
