That TV weighs in at a whopping 3,637 pounds. The 201 inch 6,172 pounds.

It's definitely not something the family will bring home from Walmart and setup.

Setting up one of those will take an army team and cranes more or less.

C SEED now announced a new outdoor foldable MicroLED TV, called the HLR series. The displays (both based on seven panesl) offer a brightness of 4,000 nits and a resolution of 4K. There are two models, a 144" one which costs $298,000 and a 201" one that costs $590,000.

Samsung starts producing 89-inch LTPS microLED TVs

According to the latest report from Korea, Samsung finally started to produce 89-inch LTPS microLED TVs. Its larger 101-inch and 114-inch models, however, are still not in production.

The report says that Samsung aimed to price the 89-inch model at $80,000 USD, although the final price decision hasn't been made public yet.

A few months ago it was reported that not only that Samsung cannot really find customers for its TVs at such high prices, but the TVs also suffer from high defect rates - even in units shown in retail or showcase events. It is likely that Samsung finally managed to solve its production issues.

Samsung's LTPS panels use LED chips made by PlayNitride, sized 34x85 um. Its current PCB-based microLED TVs use larger chips produced by San'An Optoelectronics.

Will not affect them. It's for the "light bulbs" you use in your kitchen, hallway, etc. No more Incandescent light bulbs after 2023. That's manufactured BTW. The idea is to switch to low energy consumption LED light bulbs.

This is what happens when we have unelected bureaucrats sitting in a room and making decisions. Hoping this stupid rule is not imposed in the UK as we are outside EU.

But given the euro isn't an insignificant market, this WILL impact the manufacturers ability to be aggressive investing. Just the mere fact alone of this ban will do that. But it's signal may be seen by them as a trend that could spread, given the world's current climate on such things as energy costs and potential regulation beyond mere cost... I think there's an argument to be made it impacts the whole world already; that they did this.

The South Korean manufacturer published its financial results for Q3 2022 earlier this week, with the report revealing an eye-watering operating loss for the quarter of over $540 million.

That figure marks a sizeable contrast to the profit of over $370 billion the company recorded a year earlier.

It looks like Sony will continue to remain stingy sith 65 and 75 LED TVs going by the comments in the X95K owners thread (different pane with lower native contrast and lesser dimming zones).
