They have gone backwards with their picture processing with the last 2 models. Hoping they back a bigger splash this year

Panasonic is done here. They're not coming back to dominate like they did in the plasma market.

Sadly I have to confirm this is totally true.

Thankfully we have many great choices now and for the upcoming 2024 model year, starting late spring, early summer to the end of summer for the final launch of the premium new MiniLed and OLED's next generation on select models from all TV brands.

Any "whisper" numbers about roughly where the 83" G4 OLED is going to launch in terms of price? Thanks!

There are two versions of FreeSync. The first was quickly phased out and the second is a version developed for advanced TV and gaming monitor use. The TV is 120hz and supports VRR, which means it's compatible with the second version, which is what's used in AMD GPUs now being used.

That was my assumption but the video did not clarify the two versions and could cause confusion.

Are the traditional CE companies actually going to let HiSense steamroll over them this fall?? Or just hoping to coast by with lesser tech under cover of their brand strength?

Pretty depressing, it looks like Sony with their new flagship TV could be a competitor, but its looking like with ULED X HiSense caught everyone with their pants down! I mean, that Sony flagship prototype looked far less baked than HiSense's ULED X did. Samsung's MicroLED was the best, but nowhere near a price a consumer could afford, so irrelevant.

Might be HiSense's year to take the USA market with knowledgable consumers as other companies are stuck trying to make large profit margins off 2023's old tech.

Exciting to see Sony, Samsung and LG's 2024 TV tech.

Sony switching to LED with their own interesting tech.

LG MLA 2.0 with what looks like 2000+ Nit OLED's and a new processor

Samsung claiming 3000 Nit OLED's and the new anti-reflective screen.

And you should wait until black Friday 2024 to purchase one. The price for it will be much lower.

This is a don't miss YouTube video on Brian's Tech Therapy with Rob Brennan, Sony's manager of Video and Audio products discussing the advancements in Sony's 2024 QD MiniLED TV line-up and more.

Check out this important presentation on the new and correct recommended viewing distances from your TV! Also glad to see FOMO reference our great friend Phil Holland, who is one of Hollywood's top professional cinematographers.

Phil mostly films in native 8K HDR and is on our panel of expert judges at our annual TV Shootout Evaluation event.

The trend from all TV manufacturers is better processing, better panels and larger screen sizes, and the consumers are loving these new larger premium video displays and sitting closer than they did with the older TVs.

That was a great interview, Robert. I enjoyed every minute of it. It's always interesting to see some of the insights that go into the behind the scenes turning of a ship as giant as Sony.
