It's not about how intimidating it is, it's the physical room around it. Where it's gotta go there are so many shelves filled with discs that I can only fit in a 65" now, I had more room once upon a time but everything's kinda grown around the TV space.

It’s amazing how fast that happens. Seemingly overnight. One day you wake up and wonder where all this stuff came from.

Please please Sony nail the 85 9 series and make me retire my good old ZD9. Its going to be either 85X95M or LG 83G4 for me this year.

I’m in the same boat. Waiting to see extensive reviews of the G4 and Sony’s new flagship to decide which one to go for. Seems Sony (hopefully) finally made a worthy successor to the ZD9 with a new backlight system.

I am in a good mood to retire both the ZD9 and the 77A80J subject to price. Potential replacements are 85X95M & 83G4 respectively.

Hoping Sony nails it this year but sadly they have left screen sizes under 75 to rot. Even the 75 could get a low contrast panel making 85 the one to get.

I'm almost in the same boat ...... you guys are in a slightly more expensive yacht than I am.

I've got the 75" 940E, Z9Ds little brother. I keep waiting for a new Sony that I can justify spending the money on to upgrade, The 940E still looks great!

I live in a medium sized 2 bed flat in the UK btw.

I will only buy when the price is low but I also don't mind paying a bit of Sony tax (a bit).

Thankfully with LG I got a flat 20% discount through my employer rewards program.

So Sony have announced their lineup and all the info is out there.

Bravia 7 comes in 55", 65", 75" and 85". But the 55" model won't be available in Europe, except for the UK.

Brava 9 comes in 65", 75" and 85". But the 65" model won't be sold anywhere in Europe, and that's including the UK.

How fun for us Europeans who happen to be in the market for a 55" or 65" set.

I guess now we know how Americans felt about the X95L last year.
