I wish Sony core pure stream was offered on all 4k TVs not just the expensive Sony TVs.

I wish good hdr TVs didn’t cost so much, I know it’s not reasonable to expect them at this price but 400 to 500 dollars, again I know I’m shooting for the moon but still.

Allegedly Sony won't allow FOMO compare the QM8K vs the Bravia 9

I like Sony's BRAVIA 9 QD MiniLED TV over TCL's QM8K QD MiniLED TV. Sony's new XR 2nd Generation of the XR processor and the upgraded Back Light Master Drive that follows the EOTF PQ Curve perfectly.

This review is not very flattering:

That's a lot of mediocrity for $6000.

This, and if that rumor of Sony not letting reviewers to direct compare to a TCL, that says a lot.

We are all Loving Sony's New 98" BRAVIA 5 MiniLED TV!

Sony greatly increased the amount of MiniLEDs and enhanced the BackLight Master Drive.

Hope everyone can see this TV for themselves!

I appreciate his wife's feelings.

Everyone would love to have one of Nickelodeon's images permanently displayed on their TV screen!

I see that Sony has lowered the price of the Bravia 8II; it can be purchased for 3K. Good for Sony. I have to attack Sony when the prices of their TVs are outrageous, but when they lower them, I have to give them credit for listening to their customers.

Traditionally, many companies will have higher prices at the beginning of the model year. Lowering prices later based upon sales. Also, if you have a higher initial starting point and then lower it psychologically, many buyers will perceive it to be a better value. All companies try to maximize profit for their shareholders, but I do believe Sony makes a superior product, and they stand behind their products.

Your statement comes across as sychophantic when it comes to Sony. Granted, Sony TV are really good, but they are not that good in comparison to the competition to justify be priced considerably higher. If Sony continues down that path, particularly in a inflationary economy, they will leave the OLED TV, see Panasonic and Pioneer for examples of companies for out the display panel market or segment of the market. Sony is a company that typically doesn't lower the price of their TVs, in fact, they might increase the price when others are lowering theirs.

It's for the market to decide what is a good value. Many people are willing to pay a premium price if they perceive the product of superior quality and performance. Your opinions are just yours.

There does exist items that greatly overpriced. Yeah you're right though, there are those willing to be fleeced, we are witnessing it in the car market where some folks are willing to pay $800 and $900 per month for Hyundais and Kias.

There's a sucker born every minute. The market has decided and by the looks of how the market is trending, the people have said, the Bravia 8II was overpriced.

It's just like buying a car. The buyer chooses what features and what price that they are willing to pay. In a free society that's called capitalism.

For those wondering about microLED, quite a few vendors have stepped in to fill the void that exists for "affordable" (relative to Samsung pricing) home installs, including custom builds and "stand-alone" assembled units. I'm in the process of sorting out what is what, in regards to where these panels are coming from, but there are some peculiar things I'm seeing, such as sub-4K resolution - including 1080P - in many of these products, which explains the lower cost offerings. That's not to say you can't get 4K (or higher) from them, you're just tied to a size/resolution equation that requires you to go bigger/more expensive and with certain sizes.
