So no Ewok movies coming to bluray or being included in a new box set? I didn't expect to hear them mentioned but would still be great to see them on bluray assuming they were shot on regular movie film instead of tape.

The screening of ANH was just the standard 2011 Blu version - nothing to see here, folks.

See you all again in 2020 or whatever.

Disappointing. But what the hell is the mystery movie then?

Why does everyone think that's a Star Wars-related thing? It's probably just Disney's new low-budget family movie "Camp Magic," which I heard may have its title changed, hence why it had no name on that release schedule.

I still hope there's a worldwide theatrical re-release. That date is still possible, only not the unaltered version. I'll take any versions.

It was listed as a major release by Disney, doesn't have a trailer, and falls in the 40th anniversary summer of ANH. No idea what camp magic is, but it doesn't sound like something they'd make a big deal out of at a Convention the way they did a few weeks ago. Maybe I'm wrong though. Most of the time I am.

Yeah, I mean, why would Disney put out an actual fairy tale? That's so unlike them.

It could very well be a run-of-the-mill fairy tale. But it's very odd to have only three months to release date and have zero information out in the public about one of nine theatrical releases in Disney's 2017 schedule. Especially from agents who always want to promote that their client - director, actors, other crew - are in a tentpole Disney film.

Camp Magic only started production in January. It could rush post-production and take that slot, but it's even less of a fairy tale than Star Wars is.

At this point I'm personally just curious to know what that movie is and why it's such a big secret, because it just makes little sense to be handled the way they are, and is extremely atypical of their production and marketing approach. I'm also baffled by the entertainment press having zero curiosity about this untitled movie - 11% of the biggest studio in the world's output this year. Where's their curiosity, asking of questions regarding an actual mystery event in their often uniform and clockwork industry? But I guess that would take actual journalism...

All of Disney's behavior surrounding the untitled film to this point would make more sense if it was Star Wars' 40th re-release, but I don't think anyone thought there was any kind of guarantee that it was or anything.

I just feel like a SW 40th re-release would fall in May; there's no real reason to delay such a thing to July, seeing as it isn't going to be as huge of an event as some people seem to think. It's the first Star Wars, of course, but I feel like only hardcore adult fans are going to rush off to see it again in a theatre - kids and casual fans have infinite access to it on home media.

On top of that, late July is rarely used for huge releases, so if it were some new secret blockbuster from the House of Mouse I feel like they'd aim for a date with a bit more hype to it.

I might to totally off, however... wouldn't be the first time.

They released them theatrically in January/February in 1997 for the 20th anniversary. So any month in 2017 is possible, not necessarily May.

It also made $247m WW in it's 1997 re-release. ($377m WW adjusted for inflation).

It was the #8 US release of 1997 at $138m.

I wonder if they'll release the UOT theatrically at first, then we'll see them on home video to coincide with TLJ and Christmas schedule?

Everytime I hear David Prowse speaking in the Vader suit all I can think of is Dark Helmet from Spaceballs.

Boy, look at all those pristine deleted scenes and alternate takes. Wonder where they found those?

The same place they found the deleted scenes on the previous set?

Fisher gave him the nickname that stuck with me: "Darth Farmer". Oh, that accent...

Leave it to Carrie to come up with a name like that.
