I've never seen Chancer (Clive Owen) and am intrigued by it (especially what I assume are the London filming locations).
How are the DVDs in terms of picture quality? On a 4k TV, I've noticed that DVDs fall into two categories: good enough and terrible; which does Chancer fall into? The same question goes for Sharman, another which I've not seen. Thanks, friends! |

apropos of a mention of it on a commentary on Season 2 of The Sweeney, I managed to find a copy of Network's DVD of the 1975 ITV sitcom THICK AS THIEVES for a tenner.
It's basically a vehicle for Bob Hoskins to give the same performance he would later use in The Long Good Friday, only for laffs (with his missus and John Thaw acting as foils). Two episodes in, I'm far from convinced it's actually *funny* but I am enjoying Bob Hoskins' performance nonetheless. The sound and picture quality are pretty 'unrestored', so not great - you have quad banding peeling away the picture in places and fairly grotty sound. |

I'm debating with myself on should I pre-order the Captain Scarlet from Imprint Via Vision edition as I already own all 4 of the Network CS, is it worth it for me (is there any additional goodies in this edition I would enjoy)?
