I recently got A TOUCH OF LOVE (a rare non-horror Amicus release) and THE LOVERS, and enjoyed them quite a bit.

Standard releases of Supercar and Fireball XL5 are due out on April 11th and both are 4 disc sets so looks like they are indeed dropping the bonus discs.

Yeah, I noticed that the other day. Oh well.

Since making that quoted comment, I do now own the XL5 deluxe set at least. Not so fussed about Supercar, and I have the DVD set I could hang onto for the extras.

Really interesting collections. Never heard of "The Vise" from the 1950s.

Do all of Network’s releases use the slim cases? I like them. Very practical at space saving.

No. they sometimes use the thicker UK cases, at least for their more premium releases that have booklets and stuff.

I see. So if a release is marked as having a booklet included, or sold as a premium release, then surely comes in a non-slim case. Thanks.

I can't say it authoritatively but that has been my experience thus far.

Not the case as Defence of the Realm first pressing had a booklet inside a slim plastic case.

Network’s booklets tend to be much slimmer than those from Indicator or BFI.

The Rebel came in an extra-wide case to house the script for The Day After, which is somewhat ironic since, while it was the size of an old Swan Vestas matchbox, they didn't reformat it so the text was microscopic.

I remember that Perfect Friday came in one of the thin DVD type cases.

Very happy with the new television Blu-ray titles added to Network's website later on last week (in the Coming Soon and Exclusives sections). Hopefully they will sell enough for further volumes being released (unless Network already have further volumes planned). Can remember them doing a Volume 1 release of other older TV series, only for a second volume not to happen.

Don't own many Network releases. Just these:
Bad Timing
Black Narcissus
Capricorn One
Plenty
The Four Feathers
The Ipcress File
The Nightcomers
The Quiller Memorandum
To Die For

I'm very happy at least somebody released some of these titles: Bad Timing, Capricorn One, Plenty and To Die For especially. I'm unaware of any superior releases of these titles. Are there any?

Quiller is a horrible transfer but does contain some interesting behind-the-scenes extras not included on the restored Twilight Time release. Ipcress isn't significantly bettered by the later Kino Lorber release. Black Narcissus and Four Feathers compare ok with the Criterion releases for PQ.

Don't own many Network titles, myself, but I love the ones I have:

Oh yes, I'd like a few of those myself. Good that you avoided the horribly cropped Fremantle set of The World at War and went with the full frame Network set. Very much want it. Saw it as low as £34.99 at one point.

Yeah, I got the OAR World at War in a sale last year for 34.99. I only had the A&E DVD and was avoiding the Fremantle and A&E sets for the OAR when it went on sale.
