Anyone else had the dubious pleasure of dealing with TNT shipping (now being used by Network)?
My Stingray set was sent 19 days ago and is still in France (I live in Asia). It has been ping-ponging back and forth from the UK to France to Germany and now back to France again (spending multiple days at each location).
I've tried TNT's, "Contact Us," link on their website twice with no response.
Network deliveries used to be so fast (I think they used DHL).
Usually within 10 days.
This is really annoying. Especially since the Stingray release was already delayed.

I guess it's better than just tossing the packages in the ocean and letting the tide take them...but not by much.

End of rant.

Oh that's unfortunate . For Uk customers like me, their packages have been arriving much more quickly this year, usually one or two days. Think sending first class rather than second. At first thought it was just their limited editions was buying, but it has been for everything, including recent mini sales.

Yes have been getting all my regular Network purchases Royal Mail 1st Class (should be one day but that's no longer guaranteed so find it's 50/50 whether they take one or two days).

Only exception was the Stingray Super Deluxe which went Parcelforce Next Day. The Deluxe I believe was Royal Mail 1st Class.

It finally arrived on May 25. Packaging and, "gift box," were in perfect condition (and all the booklets, badges, cd etc.), but the case for the blurays was cracked. The discs appear to be undamaged.
That case must have been cracked when it went in the box since there was no outer damage whatsoever.

Just watched the first one: Mark Saber of London. It’s cheesy quota quickie-style fun with a surprise cameo playing a nightclub pianist.

Interesting that the lead role is played by a one-armed actor (he had it amputated due to a wartime injury).

haven't ordered anything from network since october/novemberish but it's nice to see they fixed the annoying price display that didn't show the price with VAT so you got a surprise going through the checkout, at first i thought it was still happening but it's just their weird pricing on some things

It's actually based upon your IP address (though maybe they have better IP rules, code, etc). It doesn't seem to flash between the VAT/non-VAT price for me as it did before.

Why is the price of my products different when I checkout?

Quote:
The total price of an item ultimately depends on whether your delivery address is inside or outside of the UK. VAT (value added tax) of 20% will be added to all items delivered to a UK address.

Our system does its best to identify your IP address and display the correct price, but sometimes it’s unable to identify whether you are ordering from the UK or abroad. The correct final price will display once you’ve entered your delivery address at checkout.

Tempted by The Story of Film at that price. Heard mixed things about Mark Cousins though.

I’d look for clips of him on YouTube to make sure you can stomach his voice.

Cousins splits opinion, for sure, but his knowledge of film sometimes earns him respect, even amongst non-fans. I enjoyed him on Moviedrome back in the day. What I don't like is his tendency to casually drop major plot spoilers in his documentaries, without any kind of warning.

No, but they remove the UK VAT at checkout.

Picked up The World at War
At less than £28 it seemed foolish not to.

Edit: At Network. Got it.

Just picked up The World at War £27.30 and The Story of Film £22.10

Outstanding! Thanks for the tip.

Tempted by a few of these, but when was the last Network general 40% off sale? There are a handful of 2021 titles I was hoping to pick up in a sale but waiting 'til then...

Is the Network The World at War much more superior than the 2010 one? Is it worth upgrading and selling the other?

Definitely. The 2016 release restored the OAR so no more chopped off heads during the talking heads sections but the rest looks so much better and makes much more visual sense full frame.
