No the complete Space 1999 boxsets from Network and Imprint omit this TVM the Italian one "Spazio".

The other four English TVMs are in both the Space 1999 and Super Space Theatre boxsets. Network in HD whereas Imprint most are SD.

Here's hoping at the very least that there is some truth in the rumour and Network and it's past tense output are saved; both in terms of jobs, stock, licensing agreements and for the end user, the Gr€€dBay scalpers will hopefully be gazumped.

The restoration part would be a bonus. Perhaps that part may be reshaped to another business entirely in some fashion?

Regardless, hopefully it's good news ahead with regards Network in all aspects, both for their employees and for consumers.

Is aiming for perfection a bad thing anyway?

Why the anger?

I don’t understand at all. Can you not cope with different opinions?

Again, my speculative guess is this could well have something to do with the passing of Network's founder late last year. Pleased there seems to be a resolution in the works.

Spazio is included in the Ultimate set

Discs 1-5: Series 1 episodes
Discs 6-7: Series 1 special features (DVD)
Discs 8-12: Series 2 episodes
Disc 13: Series 2 special features
Disc 14: Alien Attack (4:3 and 16:9)
Disc 15: Journey Through the Black Sun (4:3 and 16:9)
Disc 16: Cosmic Princess (4:3 and 16:9)
Disc 17: Destination Moon-Base Alpha (4:3 and 16:9)
Disc 18: Spazio 1999 (only in 16:9)

It's one of those "ultimate" releases that actually (for now at least) lives up to its name...really glad I picked it up, regardless of whether it was the last chance or not

I just went through my collection and pulled out all the Network titles and I was reminded of how many of my favourite TV shows they released.

[Show spoiler]

Fantastic, much appreciated label, let's hope they get resurrected in some form.

All my previously out of stock network blurays at rarewaves.com are magically back in stock.

How did that happen?

Stock must still be moving.

This be a good sign.

They have however jacked the price up on those I did manage to order but are back in stock (not all I ordered are back in stock). Maigret is over £30 dearer.

You can’t blame them I suppose, they’re a business and must have noted an unusual spike in sales for these titles…

That's good to know. I didn't even think any of the Space Theater content made it in any other set. I was kicking myself for not picking it up when it first came out.

I really wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it (I know I could've used the WayBack Machine to look at Network's product info page, but I was lazy and couldn't find a detailed breakdown of the set at any of the store pages I was looking at). Was pretty happy to see when it arrived though that it's literally just the series 1 (7 disc) set, series 2 (6 disc) set and the complete 5 disc film set all in one package. I think this makes it the superior set compared to the Imprint one

It's frustratingly incomplete because so many episodes are lost, but what's there is mostly excellent. I really enjoyed Frankenstein with Ian Holm in dual roles.

Haha! It mostly terrified me as a kid, I watch it from time to time if I'm in the mood for nostalgic nightmares.

I absolutely blame them if they decide to hike the price up to take advantage of customers just because it's a popular seller. That's just dishonesty and greed. If it's selling well, then why do they need to mark the price up?

Boots! From that secret lair in the snow covered mountaintops of Nepal. For the love of all that's holy, don't support those llama keeper disc bootleggers!

High demand and low stocks. Maybe they had a promotion on them too that ended, I did note several Network listings there have shown a discount.

No one’s forcing a purchase.

Amazon prices go up and down significantly but people don’t drag me through the mud for it, it’s just accepted.

I’m not defending it, I’m just saying it’s not unusual. It’s not the same thing as scalping in my mind.
