Yes both DVD sets have pretty good extras.
Sorry - Dept S cover below is not all that easy to read.

Thanks. Another case of owning copies on 2 different formats then. Already done so with The Zoo Gang.

This seller has seemingly found a treasure trove of Network DVDs and Blu-Rays:

I snagged this bundle:

The last time I checked there was a large selection of Network DVDs in a Tower Records in Dublin in their own separate section. (Can't remember how much blu-ray was available).

Might be the same in some other shops around ie. old stock on shelves unless the liquidators have started the selling off of large quantities.

Given the amount of Network titles around at the moment on Amazon. Rarewaves, HMV and eBay the consensus is that the liquidated stock has been sold off. Probably, the best time is now to pick up titles you want, particularly if you don't think they are likely to get another release elsewhere. Of course, pre-used titles will always be floating around on eBay but you may have to pay a premium.

Tower always charge full fut RRP alas. How they make any money is beyond me.

If you scour hard enough you find occasional bargains though so always worth a look now and again. Golden Discs is the same. I got the 4 Rocky 4K films in there the other day. 2 for 25 so 50 Esso Tiger Tokens in total.

In regards to Network, I paid about 35 quid for the complete set of Watching. But as has been mentioned, it needs to be bought now before the scalpers arrive. Absolutely zero chance Watching will get a re-release on physical media, and ITVX can sod off, only 2 seasons on there and one of the epsiodes was removed entirely because of one scene at the end!

Mentioned this before but warrants restating. They done the same with Goodnight Sweetheart, warnings on some episodes over the '1940's humour' and of course the episode with that (thankfully now dead IRL) f***ing scumbag in it has had the scene removed in it's entirety now which disrupts the flow of the episode a bit. DVD set now is the only way to get it fully uncut, even if you do have to put up with that nonce in it. ITVX though never even put up a notice the episode is cut to shreds. Poor form.

GREAT to see more people buying the lovely Small Town Story though aka Sky Sports Transfer Deadline Day: The Movie. Be thankful it exists, it's a scan of the only print of the film known in existence.

Wish they'd find a box of Man in a Suitcase complete. I had ordered off Fleabay last June but it was cancelled ...and probably relisted at a higher price

I have a handful left to get from Network, most of them in stock at Rarewaves or HMV. But Ten Little Indians (1965) on BD is a bugger to find.

£18.00 in stock at CeX https://uk.webuy.com/product-detail?id=5027626834043

Luckily I picked up everything I wanted from Network months before they shut.

Maybe, that was part of the problem.

Sad to see the death of Michael Culver a stalwart of British television, in so many Network releases, too many to list but including Man in a Suitcase, The Adventures of Black Beauty, Armchair Thriller, Dick Turpin and The Professionals.

Managed to get volumes 2-6 of Man in a Suitcase from eBay, now frustratingly nowhere has volume 1, so without that this set is kind of pointless!

Not forgetting Squadron, co-starring Malcolm Stoddard, which not even Network released in any format, let alone the BBC. A great premise, with a multi-aircraft type rapid reaction force even if budget constraints meant Wales had to stand in for the Middle East!

And he was also the somewhat sympathetic character of Major Erwin Brandt in Secret Army and Captain Needa, one of the Imperials to fall foul of Vader's wrath in The Empire Strikes Back. The list goes on... quite the back catalogue.

CEX does if you can live with pre-used.

For the ITC fans here - Imprint in Australia are releasing The Prisoner with a bonus Danger Man disc on blu-ray. 5 Danger Man episodes (2 from the half hour series, 3 from the hour series) which include 2 new to blu ray episodes.

I am, unashamedly, an ITC fan! I'm still not over Network's demise.

I got the email about that from Imprint this morning and almost got excited for Danger Man then saw it was a small selection.
