Just a minor note, but I like the layout of Network's disc specs on the back of their sleeves. And the extra features are all listed when you click 'more'. (Zavvi could learn a thing or two on that score). Very detailed.
At the moment I only have Capricorn One and Victim (both still unwatched since this January!), but i'm just making a list of possible purchases. Black Narcissus, Countess Dracula, Hands of the Ripper... and quite a few more ![]() |

Great selection.
I thought Michael Caine was very cool in "The Ipcress File", have since been wondering how he would've been as Mr. Bond. Ow and if the Network-release of "Black Narcissus" is anything like the Criterion-release of that movie, you're in for a very big treat. ![]() |

Yes, but with some of the extras from the Criterion release, better artwork and a booklet. Unless you're region-free and don't mind shelling out for the Criterion version, this is the disc to get (for just over a fiver)!

DEADLIER THAN THE MALE arrived. Not exactly pleased. The image is soft with no detail (just look at the actor's faces when they're not in close up - there's no skin structure whatsoever).
The extras are great, though. |

Thanks for the reply - I've already got the ITV disc, so good to know the transfer is the same and there's no need to upgrade. |

The transfer is identical to the Criterion, however it is far superior to the ITV transfer.
They are distinctly different. |

Apparently I gave "The Man Who Knew Too Much" a high score for pq, so there may be some light dirt/damage, but overall it's a nice transfer without much digital tinkering. Not sure if it's really different from Criterion's version. I remember comparing and didn't see much or any difference. Hope this helps a bit. ![]() |

OK, so thanks for alerting me that they are different. But the review of the Criterion on this site says the difference between that and the ITV is minute. |

in case anyone like me was wondering, the dvds are now also discounted in the Network sale. Placed a largish order for 2 dvds and 6 blus.
Surely Network cant profit form these prices? 4.59 GBP for a blu and 3.61 GBP for a DVD cannot be more than cost surely? |

US collectors should note that the Panasonic MENU trick will enable you to play Networks Region B discs on your Region A player.
