New titles are always first on the list. So once you reach the titles you've seen listed before that's where to stop - but that assumes you've picked up everything you wanted as soon as you saw it.
If you've been umming and arring over whether to order some titles that have been listed for a while then it can get confusing, specially with Networks hopeless website where large orders need to be split into smaller ones to avoid postage.
I've been taking things off and opening second order pages on other browsers and it's difficult to make sure you don;t miss anything or order anything twice by mistake.
But with 599 titles in the sale I'm seriously wondering about the future of Network.
They said some will be deleted but this is starting to look like they're going to wipe out a swathe of titles.
I can see all the individual series going in favour of The Complete Series but quite a few still don't have Complete releases

I'm getting somewhere with collecting The British Film DVD series. I've managed to get a lot on Amazon. I'm only paying £1.99 per title so I check regularly as I keep finding titles on my Amazon wishlist have dropped to that price and some others I picked up on Network for £2

I can't turn down that price and if they get discontinued, they probably won't stay that cheap. I've also been watching a few of them as well and enjoyed the ones I've watched

I don't have any desire to collect all the British movies titles but I have picked up a fair number, mostly thrillers and dramas.

Not sure where you post this question but im orginally from uk living overseas im shipping stuff to myself from family in uk.
Obviously in past customs was flexible on the amount you could import but now its on any amount yet i get lots of items still no charge.
Keeping the costs down if charged by customs as its been a while since i last sent stuff over to myself i cant remember if these retailers show price on there packing or a slip inside box showing price.
Things i have ordered from are:
Tesco direct
Hmv
Zoom
I think amazon marketplace
Possibly arrow but im sure i dont as can get sent direct.
Obviously many sellers on ebay but i would need to cobtact them all to find out. Thanks.

I would love to own almost all of the films on the British Film collection. I am prioritising the blus though. If they ever upgraded the Edgar Wallace collection (which I do have on dvd) to blu I would be there in a heart-beat.

In the meantime, I am superstoked to have bought Vol 1 of Joe 90 yesterday with Warn That Man on blu.

I started out picking up only comedy and thriller/crime titles but well that didn't last.

As mentioned I starting with certain genres but I will pick up any at £1.99. I am not actively trying to get them all but I wouldn't say no to a complete collection.

Unless it's hidden in the barcode UK sellers don't generally put prices on packages when shipping to the UK. Some do include invoices inside.

Picked up special branch and deadlier than the male. The only other thing i'd like is Budgie but it is out of stock. Must admit between the amazon network sale and this bonkers sale i have plenty of good nostalgic tv to watch.
Now please give us the rest of the sweeney and minder on bluray and i will be very happy.

The 1930s comedies are a taste I haven't acquired, at least not yet; I find that comedy often doesn't age well.

When Network had a sale last year I finally went for the British Films. Not keen on buying films on dvd anymore but even though most are B pictures, second features I've picked up about 50. Stayed with thriller and dramas and tried not to go back further than 1950. They do reach a certain point when the films just look too old but most from the 50's onwards look in very good condition.
I went through the entire catalogue and used the IMDB synopsis to make sure it sounded interesting.
The vintage fillers are actually pretty good most of the time. The dullest one I've found so far is the one that sounds great on paper - The Man Who Finally Died. It's 2.35:1 , its colour, it has Stanley Baker and its shot on location. But I didn't enjoy it.
I've enjoyed the 1.66 B&W shot in the studio movies far more

Some real gems among the British Film Collection, both on DVD and blu-ray. No intention of getting all of them (though if money were no object...) Been picking up all sci-fi, horror and kitchen sink/grim up North titles as they were released as well as the choicer thriller, comedy and documentaries.

There's been the odd stinker but at £5 or less hardly heartbreaking. The thought of the collection eventually going OOP feels like a shame.

£5 + £1 VAT. £6 is the correct price.

For a short while Brave showed Network prices without the VAT meaning annoying surprises and canceled orders come check out, though it isn't a problem now. It has more to do with Network's site being shite than browser problems.

As all the titles are licenced they will go OOP at some point. Most are from Studio Canal but some are from ITV.
I did read some boxsets with 4 films in each are on the way indicating the individual releases might be deleted.

I wonder if Network would dare do a boxset near the end of the licence period with every title in it? Would be near to £1000 so I guess not.

I do hope that Network can start to include some of the more well known titles from ITV and Studio Canal. Neither company seems interested in releasing all their Carry On films so that would make another nice Network monthly package if they were able to.
Likewise with ITV's Norman Wisdom films, Doctor films and real classics like Whistle Down the Wind.
All so overdue on Bluray

I would dearly love Network to release the Rank Carry On films on Blu-ray - if nothing else just so I can replace the early DVD releases by Carlton which were mostly fairly lousy quality and in pan-and-scan. Studio Canal's DVD's were OK, but I'd like them to release the rest of the Anglo-Amalgamated films on Blu-ray to complete the series.

Agreed, and many of the DVD's have very reasonable transfers, for example Horrors Of The Black Museum and Konga (both with Michael Gough). Blu-ray releases of these films would be great if they ever get round to it.

However the worst one of their DVD's that I have is The Ghost Goes West, (a 1930's comedy with Robert Donat) which sadly is a pretty poor transfer, and full of scratches.

I'll have massive trouble actively collecting the British Film DVDs, so will get them passively on an ad hoc basis.

When you consider that there are something over 300 Ealing Studio titles and Network doesn't have access to even half of those and that it stopped with it's 'Ealing Rarities' at 56 titles across the 14 volumes. (Even with SC releasing the comedies and other output) thats still well over 200 titles just from a short output period.

Much as I want a collection of through the ages British Cinema it would take years to amass.
